Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Software Engineer/Network Architect based out of Manhattan Beach, CA

What You'll get to Do:

Seeking a Software Engineer/Network Architect to re-establish and maintain the framework, infrastructure and software baseline required for CRADs, IRADS, and End-to-End Enterprise Prototype Demonstration Environment for the RADnet in the SPARC and the multi-network environment. This architect is a key resource to enable the applications designers/developers use of DevOps and will task/work with the Linux System Administrators and Security ISSOs.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Level or a Sr. Principal Level.

Basic Qualifications of a Principal Software Engineer are:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years related experience; Masters with 3 years related experience, or a PhD with 0 years of related experience; or 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: C , Java, C, C#, .Net

  • Current SCI access or at least a DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access by start date

Basic Qualifications of a Sr. Principal Software Engineer are:

  • Bachelor's degree with 9 years related experience; Masters with 7 years related experience, or a PhD with 4 years of related experience; or 13 years of related experience in lieu of degree

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: C , Java, C, C#, .Net

  • Current SCI access or at least a DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access by start date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in software architecture and network architecture is highly desirable.

  • C /Java Software development skills desirable

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, CA. The selected candidate will be part of the Microelectronics Materials and Processes Engineering Section supporting various space systems. Essential Functions: Analyzes, researches, designs and develops materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems. Applies principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, non-metallic and composite material and processing specifications, fabrication and assembly processes. Develops, analyzes and applies material properties and design allowables, processing processes and quality engineering specifications. Material analyses may include failure analysis of components, systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications. May review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelors Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field * 9 years of full-time engineering experience in an aerospace environment OR Masters Degree in STEM and 7 years of experience * Experience with supporting ongoing design of space-flight electronic assemblies * Experience in parts, materials and process selection, manufacturing support, failure analysis, and processing of materials for air or space hardware * Active, in-scope DoD Top secret or SCI clearance Preferred Qualifications: * Masters Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field from an accredited institution * Familiarity with P&MP requirements per Aerospace TOR-2006(8583)-5235 / -5236, MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883 Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
