The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for front counter duties such as early dismissals, tardies, and assists visitors at the school.

  • Types correspondence for principal and assistant principals.

  • Answers the telephone and takes messages.

  • Maintains the calendar for principal.

  • Answers PA and uses two-way radio to communicate with the administrators.

  • Distributes all mail to school.

  • Maintains personnel files.

  • Enters information on the computer.

  • Assists students with first aid and maintains first aid log.

  • Assists with the registration process as needed.

  • Assists students with all relative office needs, whenever needed.

  • Maintains good public relations with visitors, teachers, students, etc.

  • Serves as backup for the Registrar.

  • Any other duties assigned by principal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a high school graduate from a regionally accredited school or have GED equivalent.

Must be computer knowledgeable with expertise in Windows, Excel, Word, WordPerfect, Access, Lotus, or other comparable or similar software.

Must have a high school transcript or GED and evidence of computer experience on application to be considered for the position.

Salary Range: From/To Beginning pay - $33,931.00

Additional Job Information

Applicants selected for classified positions must undergo (or have undergone) an ABI/FBI criminal history background check (fingerprinting administered through sites selected and approved by the MCPSS and State of Alabama Education Department) and be declared suitable and fit to teach under state law. Applicants selected must also pass a drug-screening test via forms provided by Human Resources during the selection process.
