Responsible to develop and manage a nominally 12 month ongoing work plan (beyond T-15 work schedule), ensuring the work and the resources in the work plan align with the approved budget. The Principal Work Plan Coordinator will work with and provide the oversight for Finance, Budget Owners, Category Owners, and Investment Strategy to ensure the labor strategy and work inputs are clearly identified to maintain the work plan on an ongoing basis. The Principal Work Plan Coordinator will work closely with regional work management to ensure clear, effective communications regarding the long-range work plan. The Principal Work Plan Coordinator will support project prioritization and broker movement of funds to support emergent work or revisions to the work plan, and will facilitate changes in the work plan to accommodate budget adjustments across organizations.

Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.




  • Ensure alignment between budgeted work plan and work management schedule

  • Develop resource strategy and levelize resource demand to match budgeted supply

  • Meet regularly with regional / T &S leadership and work management group to review next 12 months work plan.

  • Coordinate long range scheduling of projects and programs to ensure timely completion and maximize effectiveness of resource utilization.

  • Support project prioritization and broker movement of funds to support emergent work or revisions to the work plan.

  • Develop and prepare yearly work plan, routine and ad hoc reports, spreadsheets, etc. as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Bachelors degree in engineering, technical field, or business with 8-10 years experience in Work Management/Project Management/Engineering, or in lieu of bachelors degree, 12 or more years experience in Work Management / Project Management / Engineering

  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of the work control process including Passport and Project View.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate and analyze data.

  • Demonstrated good communication skills and ability to lead teams and groups.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction.


  • Masters or relevant advanced degree.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of budget and reporting computer systems

(i. e. Artemis 7, Cognos, EPS, & Hyperion).

  • Job requires in depth knowledge of energy delivery and the changing business environment of electric power distribution and factors that affect strategic decisions. ; Must research and integrate large amounts of data to support tactical and strategic decisions.

  • Accountable for the successful execution of all the work within PECO electric operations. Decisions made will have a direct impact on total annual budget spends of approximately $400M - $500M at PECO.

  • This position strongly influences key stakeholders across the Maintenance, Operating, and Engineering departments to ensure the 12 month (PECO) work plan has all the required inputs. ; Failure to do so will impact process efficiency and may ultimately impact financial and operational performance. Routinely interacts with key stakeholders such as SVP, VP, Directors and key managers.

  • Develop resource strategies for baseline manpower and project funded resource requirements and recommend decisions balancing both operational requirements and financial implications.

  • All actions have direct impact on electric operations reliability, financial, customer satisfaction goals and public, political and regulatory opinion of the company

  • Be a Change Agent and facilitate out of the box thinking.
