The User Experience (UX) team is the driving force behind the User Experience of Model N's products. We are a talented team of UX professionals who drive the product user experiences company-wide. We are currently seeking a talented, multi-dimensional Principal who is skilled in: user-centered design techniques, working with diverse constituencies of internal and external customers, and who excels in designing scalable, high-productivity, business solutions.
You are an experienced UX Principal and your insights and design concepts will shape Model N's products and platform. You will play a lead role in defining usable, scalable, high-productivity user experiences for Model N's product lines.
The Ideal Candidate
You are highly experienced in user-centered UX design for enterprise business applications. You have experience designing for the web and SaaS-based applications. You are skilled at collaborating with other UX designers and product teams to deliver best practices in user-centered design, information architecture, and interaction design. You are highly skilled at visual and verbal communication.
You enjoy working with product managers to understand and define business requirements, but you are also well versed in discussing technological capabilities and constraints with software engineers. Most importantly you relish interacting with customers, testing your design ideas and assumptions, and validating your prototype concepts in order to help the company manage risk and costs.
Planning and designing our next generation of web-based, enterprise SaaS applications
Contributing as an equal member of cross-functional teams to create innovative user experiences for new and extended product offerings
Helping plan and drive customer and vision-keeper interviews
Synthesizing research into a coherent set of ideas that describe the structure of the human and technological systems, and the related product user experience
Creating task analyses, journey maps, information architectures, user interaction models, wire frame screen flows, prototypes, detail designs, and design specifications with little direction
Influencing product teams and the organization to achieve solutions that are right for our customers
Fostering a fun, creative, collaborative spirit across the organization
Minimum 8+ years Enterprise SaaS User Experience Design
Bachelors' degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Architecture, Computer Science, Engineering Psychology, or a related field. Advanced degree a plus.
Demonstrated experience in driving user-centered design projects end-to-end; from profiling users + journey mapping, to concept and prototype iteration, to production detailing + specification
Mastery of information architecture, interaction design, visual communication, and UX project planning
Experienced with generative and evaluative user research techniques
Demonstrated proficiency with prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, etc.
Proven effectiveness working in cross-functional teams that include product management, engineering, marketing, and other User Experience professionals
