The Principal Underwriting Support will focus on developing training material to be used as part of training sessions with current underwriting professionals or new hires joining the team. This person will be in charge of conducting these training sessions and provide reporting analytics to leadership on team's performance and production.

Job Responsibilities:

• Executes/Validates Test cases for projects on a pre and post production basis to ensure all requirements are fulfilled.

• Coordinates testing of enhancements and develops and provides educational tools and materials.

• Plans, allocates and schedules resources as required.

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to create training content, presentations, and reports to effectively design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training modules on mortgage underwriting principles, processes, and practices.

• Focus on training modules related to FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA loans, ensuring all underwriters are up to date with the latest guidelines and regulations.

• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultation with managers, amending the training program as needed.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training on employees, revising or recommending further training to achieve high competence levels and maintain documentation on all conducted training sessions and participant progress.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position. Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage underwriting and related training role with profound knowledge of mortgage products and underwriting procedures, especially FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and VA loans required.

• Senior level knowledge in Core Competencies: Project Management, Business Analysis, Information Technology/Software Development, Mortgage (Originations, Servicing, Finance), Basic Technical Writing, Process Flow Documentation, Strong Communication Skills

• Demonstrated superior competence in soft skills associated with core competencies such as documentation, communication, leadership, facilitation, team management & customer relationships.

• Highly skilled in managing all aspects of all sizes and complexities of multiple projects simultaneously across the software development life cycle phases (SDLC).
