Principal UI Engineer And Principal Backend Engineer

At Mancomm, we are excited to announce openings for two senior-level positions designed to pioneer the next generation of digital regulation platforms. Each role is tailored to revolutionize how we interact with and understand regulatory content, leveraging cutting-edge technology and design.

Principal UI Engineer: This position will lead the development of intuitive, mobile-first applications, transforming complex regulation publications into easily accessible digital formats. The role combines hands-on coding with strategic leadership, ensuring a user-centric design that integrates AI and advanced technologies.

Principal Backend Engineer: Focused on building and maintaining a robust serverless microservice architecture on AWS, this role supports cutting-edge mobile applications that make regulations accessible on the go. It involves critical tasks like updating government regulations, maintaining AWS infrastructure, and managing internal tools with React.js.

Requirements

Principal UI Engineer:

The candidate will take ownership of:

• front-end applications;
• and delivery of those applications;
• and directing teams as the solution and value grow
• and evaluating respective technologies for pushing ahead of the industry;
• with stakeholders to ensure requirements are being met; and
• with clients and client representatives to ensure the user experiences are delivering what customers need and exceeding their expectations.

Specifically, and minimally, candidates are expected to be proficient in the following technical skills:

• ReactNative
• Node.js, React.js. MUI
• CSS/HTML/JS, themes
• REST and Axios
• AWS, S3, Lambda
• Build and deploy

Principal Backend Engineer:

• Node and Javascript
• Async/ Promise programming
• REST and Axios
• DOM and Sax parsing & XML/HTML processing
• NoSQL - MongoDB/Document DB
• Serverless
• S3, Lambda
• React, MUI
• Build and automation, Docker

DOM and Sax parsing are an additional critical skill since we get regulations in xml/html and those need processing and ingesting into the appropriate normalized form.

Owning and maintaining the AWS infrastructure and various deployment environments is a must.

Mancomm leverages build and automation using Bitbucket and the candidate will be expected to maintain the build system, including Docker images and updates as necessary to Node and Serverless. Mancomm leverages Serverless framework for deployment automation.
