Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer / Computer Engineer / Physicist / Mathematician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, LDS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

LDS Threat Intelligence and Exploitation Department is seeking a principal engineer with requisite skills and interest to support solutions for the United States Intelligence Community and/or Test and Evaluation Community. Projects could include threat model development such as radar, sensors, or weapons; model integration into simulation environments; tool development for visualization, integration, or characterization

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's (or Master's) Degree from an ABET accredited school in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Math

• Must have 12+ years of relevant experience.

• Candidate should be able to apply academic background to one or more of the following:

• Apply engineering principles to create threat simulation model designs

• Convert simulation designs into software programs using C++ and other computer languages.

• Design and develop data analysis tools to aid in data processing, visualization, and analysis.

• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate professionally and work cohesively in a team environment

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Desired Skills:

• MATLAB and Simulink

• C++, Python, or Java

• Visual Studio

• Version control software (such as git or svn)

Security Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship and a current Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Must possess active SCI clearance with current investigation (within last 4.5 years) and be able to maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
