TITLE: Principal Test Engineer II

LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO

JOB SUMMARY: Lead technical teams using automation frameworks and test-driven development methodology to ensure the delivery of quality products.

Actively and independently acquire and analyze data for software process evaluation and improvements and integrate them into business processes to address the business needs. Review test plans, write manual and automated test cases/scripts, and execute tests, using automation tool development language (Tricentis TOSCA). Perform both back-end system and front-end UI triage and troubleshooting when identifying defects. Analyze manual and automated test scenario results.

Serve as project team leader and/or subject matter expert for projects of high to extremely critical complexity within one or more test environments and involving several technical systems and constituents. Architect, review, and harden automation frameworks and implementation; make technical decisions on dev-test initiatives; implement, design, execute project deliverables; and estimate scope of work through all phases of a software development lifecycle. Design, develop, and implement product testing proposals by identifying and suggesting viable options to support new or existing business initiatives.

Execute system and code analysis to identify root case for defect leakage across multistage dev-ops pipelines. Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. Deliver quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 8 years of experience utilizing Agile Scrum and Waterfall within the Software Delivery Life Cycle. 5 years of experience in software development with unit test frameworks. 3 years of experience in automation testing using Tricentis TOSCA. Experience can be gained pre- or post-completion of Bachelor's degree. *A hybrid (in office and remote) work arrangement is available.
