Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services is looking for talented System Engineer to join our GPS OCX System Engineering team in Aurora, Colorado.

The Intelligence and Space Mission Area Systems Engineering Team is looking for Systems Engineers for GPS OCX. The candidate be part of a team of systems engineers in accomplishment of segment engineering tasks in an iterative development environment. The SE provides technical direction and clarification of requirements to software agile development teams, integration and test personnel, performs system engineering analyses including trade studies, use case development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification and supports planning / development and interfaces with personnel from other organizations. The SE attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel, and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of his/her project, provides status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks as required and provides document review and resolves technical systems engineering and integration issues. Additionally the SE supports ECP efforts as required. In additional to program efforts the candidate may be asked to support various proposal efforts. This candidate must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years demonstrated engineering experience with proven track record

  • Understanding of the SE lifecycle and change management process

  • Experience with requirements analysis/management

  • Experience in functional decomposition, use case development, interface analysis and definition

  • Knowledge of and experience working in DOORS

  • Proven ability to meet timelines

  • Experience in systems engineering functions including: operations concept development, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control

  • Knowledge of component level integration and test

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools

  • Current Secret clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in mission management

  • Experience in an Agile or DevOps development environment

  • Domain experience preferred

Education / Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), with 8+ years of relevant work experience or a Master's Degree in STEM, with 6+ years of relevant work experience

VIEW JOBS 11/30/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-02-28T00:00 RISCSI provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community Job Description: Raytheon Technologies currently has an opportunity for a qualified and experienced RF Systems/Hardware Engineer to provide engineering analysis, baseline management, operations and maintenance, system enhancement, and integration support. This position will be responsible for ensuring successful operation, maintenance, and sustainment of the hardware associated with a complex high priority operational communications system. Responsibilities also include establishing requirements for new software and system hardware enhancements, supporting efforts for new capabilities, and development and refinement of operational/engineering processes and procedures. The RF Systems/Hardware Engineer will be expected to have the technical skills to troubleshoot, document, and resolving system outages and other issues that may be encountered during operation of the system. This includes the collection of diagnostic data, accurately documenting problems in logging and discrepancy reporting tools, restoring system operation, development of workarounds, and other activities necessary for recovery of the system. The RF Systems/Hardware Engineer will provide support to include store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis and troubleshooting of system capabilities and requirements; utilize analytic devices such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for troubleshooting; monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications; support the generation of concept of operations and provide recommendations for system architecture. Required Skills: * Prior experience developing and supporting RF ground systems engineering activities for a satellite communications system * Proficient use of Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes * Experience generating, analyzing, tracking, and managing requirements * Experience with RF systems engineering developing and maintaining schematics, analysis, block diagrams, system Bill of Materials (BOMs), and design review packages * Must be able to apply previous knowledge and experience to provide recommendations for development of new operational concepts, architecture, and to increase efficiencies within the existing system * Must be able to provide occasional after hour call-in support * Must be able to support occasional travel (both CONUS and OCONUS). Must be able to support emergency repair trips with little or no advanced notice. * Highly articulate with strong written and verbal communications skills. * Technical ability to identify and document system related RF capability enhancements through generation and submittal of White Papers and other submittals. * Lead design performance & cost trade-offs for proposed engineering changes. * Taking a leadership role for design teams and provide technical oversight to the team members. * Must be able to work at heights and successfully complete Safety At Heights training/certification.
