Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

BS & 5 years Experience in Electrical I&T

Must have U.S. Citizenship with active or current Top Secret level clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Space Vehicle Electrical I&T

VIEW JOBS 2/3/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-03T00:00 Description: As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will perform systems engineering with a focus on requirements, verification, activation and test activities for launch facility systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of requirements, systems trades, interfaces and verification. Your activities may include planning/execution of facility activation and commissioning, test planning, requirement verification, risk management, Air Force / FAA / Regulatory interface, technical performance measurement management, and configuration and data management. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with internal teams to define requirements, test strategy for activation and verification of both hardware and software * Use company standard tools and processes used for defining, planning and executing verification activities * Develop and implement site wide test plans, including functional checks, commissioning and activation testing * Define test criteria with stakeholders to meet verification objectives within schedule and budgetary constraints * Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure tests are conducted in conformance with the released specifications * Provide input to design of mechanical and electrical test configurations * Provide assessments / recommendation in design reviews for launch site ground systems * Support consistent analysis and interpretation of test data and support development of test and analysis reports * Support discrepancy tracking of verification anomalies using root cause analysis tools * Prepare reports from verification database for senior management review and use by other integrated product teams Qualifications: * Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar technical field * Good communication skills, ability to work effectively in teams * Demonstrated ability to work under general direction and deliver results throughout coordination and execution portions of a project * Experience with systems engineering tools and process such as DOORS Next Generation (DNG), Rational Quality Manager (RQM), FFMEA / FMECA, Requirements Verification and Traceability, and Technical Reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FRR) * Minimum 5 years' experience in requirements development, verification and testing. Directly related experience such as design or analysis may be considered for a portion of this requirement * Experience in verification planning, authoring test plans/execution, use of analysis tools related to project metrics such as reporting and tracking verification activities and discrepancy reporting and root cause analysis * Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Desired: * 7+ years system development/integration experience – preferably with aerospace systems * Experience in verification planning, test plans/execution, analysis tools, reporting and tracking verification activities * Experience in commissioning of ground support systems for aerospace programs (mechanical and/or electrical systems) * Experience in Instrumentation and Control Systems including hardware, software and network Blue Origin offers a phenomenal work environment and awesome culture with competitive compensation, benefits, 401K, and relocation.
