As a Quality Assurance Engineer embedded within the Production Value Stream, you'll be a high-value participant on cross-functional teams, bringing Quality Science skills and expertise to drive issue resolution and will also frequently interface with internal and external customers

Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Preventative & Corrective actions concurrently with the internal quality organizations (Design, Operations, and Supply Chain)

  • Analyzes and makes recommendations for the implementation of Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets

  • Experience with network-based computer systems and: Statistical Analysis Software (Minitab, Python, MATLAB, SQL etc.).

  • Process planning, inspection, and test methodology as well as Non-Conforming Material Control, issue resolution and product acceptance

  • Provides production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for key quality improvements

  • Review's quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes

  • Responsible for resolving critical issues/situations ensuring that they are handled correctly and within current policy/procedure guidelines

  • Responsible for tracking customer impact issues and RCCA investigations

  • Coordinate/manage customer and Internal issues in a timely professional manner to achieve business unit goals

  • Auditing Proficiency: This includes excellent communications skills, and ability to conduct audits (internal and external) effectively, as well as successful corrective action follow-up and successful

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or other ASQ certification

  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis

  • Experience with manufacturing and Inspection

  • Experience with AS9145 and implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)

  • Designated Representative for FAA 8130-3 Certification

  • 10% domestic travel required
