As a Principal Solution Marketing Manager, you will be in an influential individual contributor role. This position is best for a big-picture thinker who is comfortable taking the strategic risks necessary to not only stay on the cutting-edge, but to create a new understanding of where that edge is.

To accomplish the goal of increasing sales and expanding market share, you will handle responsibilities including:

  • Managing solution definition, go-to-market strategy and planning including buyer personas, determining market messages, and producing content in various media and for each stage of the buyer journey

  • Monitoring and analyzing customer needs and technology trends

  • Communicating industry-related thought leadership and competitor activities including pricing, marketing strategies and product direction

  • Analyzing and providing input regarding product, pricing, packaging, positioning and promotional strategies (there's an alliteration joke in here somewhere--extra points for humor!)

  • Collaborating closely with Product Management colleagues to understand product roadmap, features, and functionality to communicate clear and concise use cases for our customers

  • Working with R&D and Product Development teams to shape the product vision and prioritize features

  • Owning and driving all marketing-related solution launch and release activities to ensure internal readiness (Marketing, Sales, Services, Support) and customer understanding

  • Developing programs to increase customer awareness, adoption, and usage of inContact products and solutions

  • Working with sales leadership to develop tools which support corporate sales philosophy and alignment with proven buying processes

  • Supporting and strengthening Partner and Channel relationships, education, and communications

  • Serving as an inContact brand ambassador, educating and reinforcing brand standards

  • Working across the organization to drive process improvements, manage bottlenecks, anticipate and proactively manage escalations, determine and quantify business need versus team constraints

  • Driving, unfailingly, toward the goal of ensuring great customer experience

The Associate is expected to possess extensive knowledge of the product assortments available to customers and recognize the opportunity to sample and advise the customer on these offerings. The Copy & Print Associate is accountable for demonstrating these behaviors and positively contributing to key business metrics. Reports to: Sales and Service Manager. Essential Skills and Experience: * Building Relationships: Expertly skilled at comfortably connecting with customers in an open and informative way that supports the establishment of a Trusted Advisor relationship between the customer and Staples. Curious about the customer's business and needs beyond the initial transaction and is comfortable leveraging this trusted relationship to offer and provide solutions to support the customer's copy and print needs. Additionally works collaboratively with peers to ensure the department and customer's needs are met * Focus on Service - Anticipate Service Needs: Demonstrates a passion for engaging with customers with the intent to identify and meet the customer's needs. Consistently seeks out ways to provide service and solutions that will positively impact the customer's experience and ensure Staples is always the customer's first choice in all copy and print solutions. Ensures an inviting environment for customers by maintaining a neat, clean and organized center * Adaptability: Thrives in a fast paced complex working environment. Is comfortable balancing competing priorities and flexing between many tasks at a given time. Is able to effectively prioritize and manage tasks and timelines to meet the customer's needs.
