Generative AI is enabling AIML and Embedded developers to build innovative products and applications that are revolutionizing the way we create and interact with products. This revolution is most pronounced with AIML/GenAI applications that are deployed at the edge.

At SiMa, we are building the AIML and Generative AI Silicon to Software tech stack to push the boundaries of model development at the edge for ANY framework, ANY network, ANY model, ANY sensor, and ANY modality. We do this via the SiMa Palette Software, Palette EdgeMatic(TM), MLSoC, and Model Zoo. We build products for AI development teams to scale their EdgeAI from single ML model applications to large multi-modal applications on one platform.

As part of the SiMa Solution Architect team, you will be responsible for the definition working with customers to deliver the next-generation AIML and GenAI multi-modal workloads at the edge. You will work closely with our customers to develop positive relationships, learn their software requirements and work with the architecture, engineering, and business development teams to build products and solutions that enable the customer's success.

Solution Architect, Edge AIML and GenAI

As a Solution Architect you will partner with customers and other SiMa teams to design and build some of the most scalable, flexible and resilient solutions that address customer AI/ML and GenAI use cases at the edge.

In this role, you will help shape and develop novel solutions to solve business challenges. You will use ML and Generative AI tools and SiMa MLSoC and Palette software to design, evangelize, and implement state-of-the-art solutions for never-before-solved problems. You'll help drive successful business outcomes across a broad set of customers through your passion for educating, training, designing and building edgeAI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner in designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the SiMa platform.

• Interact with customers directly to understand business challenges and support their implementation of their ML application at the edge.

• Educate customers on the value proposition of SiMa and showcase the art of possible.

• Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on SiMa while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment at the edge.

• Author and contribute to SiMa customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, workshops, demos and proof of concepts.

• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be edge advocates.

• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the solutions architect and machine learning community.

• Work with SiMa product teams in synthesizing customer and market feedback to evolve the SiMa roadmap.

• Participate in software design and reviews to ensure delivery of quality products.

• Prepare detailed documentation of system architecture and design. Report progress and challenges to stakeholders.

• Stay updated with the latest trends in embedded and ML systems to apply innovative solutions to business challenges.

The ideal candidate:

• Has deep expertise in AI/ML (specifically Generative AI).

• Has prior experience working as a Solution Architect.

• Is deeply technical and keeps their technical skills honed.

• Has a combination of design and architecture knowledge with development capability (comfortable on the white-board and also on the keyboard).

• Communicates efficiently and effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience (must-have):

• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in AI/ML (1+ in Generative AI specifically). Experience in machine learning, computer vision, and image/signal processing techniques, including a strong background in deep learning such as object recognition, object detection, semantic segmentation, NLP, sequential data processing, audio processing, etc. Must have experience with data processing, data management, model implementation, training, model inference, and neural network optimization including QAT or PTQ and model architecture optimization.

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, systems engineering, infrastructure, edge and cloud compute, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field of study. Plus: Master's degree (preferred PhD) in Artificial intelligence Computer Science, Data Science or another related field.

• Proven record of conducted research documented in blogs or whitepapers (preferably in top ML conferences and journals)

• Experience in presenting technical concepts during international conferences, webinars, panels and to the broad audience of technical/non-technical attendees, e.g., senior executives.

Proficiency in:

• Software design patterns, software testing, and version control systems

• Databases, including relational and non-relational databases.

• Virtualization and containerization (e.g., Docker)

• CV/ML SW packages, such as pandas, scikit-learn, OpenCV, NLTK, etc.

• ML Frameworks: TensorFlow, Pytorch, ONNX, etc.

• ML/DevOps tools: WANDB, etc.

• System design methodologies: UML, Requirements definition, etc.

• OS systems: LinuxOS, MacOS

• Programming fluency in Python (or C++), bash

• Processor architectures, memory management, computer architecture, and performance analysis

• Excellent communication and written skills

• Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with no supervision

Ideally, you would have:

• 6+ years of experience in building ML-powered products that run at the edge.

• Experience operating in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity at a start-up.

• Industry experience in Industrial, Robotics/Drones, Smart Retail Analytics (Personalization), Aerospace, and Logistics in a business and customer facing role.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $192,500 to $249,000. The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experiences, qualifications, expertise, work location, total target compensation, training, company needs, and current market demands. The annual salary range for this position is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
