Principal Solution Architect

NIRA, INC, a prominent IT professional services firm serving federal clients, is seeking a Principal Solution Architect. This role is pivotal in providing advanced technical guidance and architectural solutions to support digital transformation efforts within federal agencies. The Principal Solution Architect will also mentor our software engineering teams and actively contribute to business development activities, including responses to RFIs and RFPs.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture

• Design and implement robust architectural solutions that align with the strategic needs of federal agency IT executives.

• Stay at the forefront of technology trends, ensuring the integration of emerging technologies to optimize business processes.

Technical Thought Leadership

• Serve as a technical leader within the organization, providing guidance and insights that shape strategic directions and technology implementations.

• Lead educational initiatives and workshops to elevate the technical expertise of the team.

Mentoring

• Develop a learning environment that fosters technical excellence and continuous improvement among the engineering teams.

• Encourage innovation and knowledge sharing to ensure team members are well-versed in current and emerging technologies.

Business Development

• Contribute expertise and insights during the preparation of RFI and RFP responses, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client requirements.

• Participate in strategy sessions to identify and seize new business opportunities, enhancing the company's market position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 8 years in IT, with extensive experience in designing and implementing software solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead technical teams in a dynamic environment.

• Deep knowledge of modern technologies and architectures, with a special focus on AI, blockchain, and cloud services (AWS, Azure).

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively engaging and influencing various stakeholders.
