Raytheon Intelligence, Information, and Services (IIS) has an opening for a Lead Data Scientist. Serve as an analytics thought leader providing insight to internal and external stakeholders for advancing classified program tools/products to solve complex and multifaceted mission challenges.

Job Description:

  • Establish framework and processes that enable rapid acceleration of Data science practices for our customer domain and program

  • Define business problems/challenges, develop hypotheses, perform statistical analyses, interpret results and produce actionable business insights that lead to measurable product and user experience performance improvements

  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis

  • Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities

  • Communicate complicated statistical modeling concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to customers and senior executives

  • Contribute to the development of related software products/tools

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the data science arena

  • Strong understanding and experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms

  • Proven skills and experience using a variety of statistical analytics tools (e.g. R, SPSS, Matlab, Python)

  • Strong scripting and programming skills in a Java/Linux environment coupled with the ability to build SQL queries

  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB

  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Advanced degree in quantitative field

Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics or related discipline 110026
