We're seeking a talented Principal Software Engineer (Core DNA) to join our growing team.

Here is what you would be doing at UiPath:

  • Own and drive key company-wide engineering initiatives

  • Technical lead driving and organizing cross-discipline efforts spawning engineering, product, and business

  • Architect, design, hands on implementation of cloud services at scale

  • Architect, design, hands on implementation of data applications and models

  • Handle all software deliverables to meet requirements that include quality, security, scalability, modifiability, extensibility, and testability to ensure deliverables meet our customers' expectations

  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and assessing technical talent

  • Mentor junior members of the team

Here is what you'll bring to our team:

  • 10+ years of professional experience architecting and engineering world-class, large scale commercial applications and services

  • Experience with leading and hands-on development plus operation of cloud services at scale on Azure, AWS or GCP

  • Experience with leading and hands-on development of intensive data applications, worked on services processing petabytes of data

  • Deep understanding of data structures and algorithms

  • Proficiency in one or more object-oriented languages (such as C#/C++/Java) backed by solid computer science fundamentals, algorithms, data structure

  • Effective teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills

  • Very good grasp of multithreading, synchronization, asynchronous cloud programming

  • Very good understanding of SQL Server

  • Experience with micro-services patterns

  • Experience leading DevOps development process and best practices

  • Experience with Snowflake preferred

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL pipelines preferred

  • Experience with Kubernetes preferred

  • Experience with other big data technologies including MongoDB, Hadoop, Kafka, and Elastic Search preferred

What You'll Do: * Work with engineering teams to design, develop and deliver cloud-based infrastructure projects on a modern tech stack (Redis, Elasticsearch, Docker, Terraform on AWS) * Drive evaluation, development, and roll-out of new common microservices * Operate, support, and upgrade shared services and frameworks. Scale these as their usage invariably grows along with Okta's business. * Help with design and code reviews. Ensure high programming standards by writing unit and functional tests. * Assist with monitoring, troubleshooting of services and frameworks the team owns * Collaborate with architects, QA, product owners, security and operations engineers * Help with mentoring new engineering hires and interns Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Immense passion about doing the right thing to help Okta's technology stay ahead of its anticipated business growth * Reliable technology chops in architecting, implementing, tuning, and debugging some of the largest cloud deployments in the enterprise world * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent * 4+ yrs of extensive programming experience in an object-oriented programming language like Java, especially in backend services. A good understanding of multithreading, garbage collection, memory management. * 3+ yrs of experience working with MySQL or equivalent relational database systems.
