ABOUT THE ROLE:

We have created a new standard in ransomware incident response and need an experienced software engineer to lead scaling our cloud infrastructure and dev tooling to the next level. Your core responsibilities will include maintaining cloud infrastructure, building dev tooling, setting up observability and alerting etc, and backend services work as needed. Your work will help companies from around the world prevent and recover from cyber attacks. We want you to play a major part in raising the bar as we continue our growth.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are passionate about building and managing cloud infrastructure that is highly available, secure, reliable, has low latency and supports a growing global customer base. You are an experienced engineer who brings expertise and knowledge of best practices, proven patterns in deploying backend services using CI/CD and scaling and managing corresponding cloud infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as code tools. You have experience in implementing and managing APM solutions for logging, monitoring and alerting on the health of the applications running in production. Security is a top priority and always top of mind in any decisions you make. You are willing to roll up your sleeves and play individual contributor, and lead a group of engineers in solving problems while working cross-functionally across the company.  You are a clear and articulate communicator with your co-workers and customers alike . You understand how to manage an engineering project and communicate with stakeholders. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

• Design and implement scalable systems handling large volumes of data to support global expansion of our patent-pending forensics products that's been used by 1000s of customers.

• Drive the expansion and management of cloud infrastructure across multiple regions.

• Analyze current system architecture for security, scalability, reliability, latency and availability, and implement appropriate solutions.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using best practices, for integrating changes and deploying to production on cloud.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, and other engineers, to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards, with security and quality top of mind.

• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor peers to ensure code quality and continuous improvement.

YOU SHOULD HAVE: 

• 8+ years of experience building and deploying production infrastructure at scale in the cloud (preferably AWS), using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably terraform.

• Proven experience in designing and scaling highly-available applications built on low latency event-driven architectures.

• Fluency in a modern programming language (JS, Golang, Python, Ruby etc)

• Experience in leading other engineers in designing and implementing solutions for deploying + managing infrastructure.

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate's expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.

$201,000—$287,100 USD
