Principal Software Engineer (System Administrator)

This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.2HB Incorporated is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in order to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. The customer is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support the Integration Team. This position will support all the cloud environments, both unclassified and classified that are part of the overall CI infrastructure footprint.This position is for a Linux SA that can fit a SWE3 template. Candidate must be able to meet the template requirements for a SWE3.Required Skills/Experience:

• Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Linux system administration and integration experience (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Cloud services experience (AWS, Azure); services provisioning, management of virtual services, familiarity with vendor Platform as a Service offerings
• System monitoring and maintenance to include service upgrades and security patching and IAVA management
• Troubleshooting of services (Tier 1/2 level)
• Configuration management support, familiarity with Puppet/SIMP, Ansible, Salt, Chef
• RPM development, deployment, and upgrade experience
• Familiarity with configuration and workflow tools such as GitLab, Jira
