Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Cyber Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Tampa, FL.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The candidate will be filling a role that requires a broad array of knowledge and skills heavily focused on Systems Administration and system engineering working with team members to support a Cyber Security program at a customer site. We're looking for a highly motivated individual with an impeccable work ethic and a strong ability to work in a collaborative fast-moving dynamic team environment. The primary team is located in Tampa, Florida with distributed team members embedded directly with the customer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with Cyber Systems Engineers.

  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.

  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery.

  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

  • Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

  • Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Level:

  • Six (6) Years of experience in Systems Engineering and/or Systems Administration with Bachelors in Science; Four (4) Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD; or 10 years of Systems Administration experience without a degree

  • US Citizenship is required with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance which was active in the last 24 months

  • Must possess or be able to obtain DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher within two (2) months of starting

  • Prior administration of virtualization environments using technologies such as ESX, storage provisioning and networking of virtual systems

  • Experience configuring, administering and maintaining computer systems (Such as: Windows 10, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, Active Directory, RedHat Enterprise Linux)

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus 10 years (or a Master's degree in a related field plus 8 years) of experience in Systems Administration; or 14 years of Systems Administration experience without a degree

  • US Citizenship is required with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance which was active in the last 24 months

  • Must possess or be able to obtain DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher within two (2) months of starting

  • Prior administration of virtualization environments using technologies such as ESX, storage provisioning and networking of virtual systems

  • Experience configuring, administering and maintaining computer systems (Such as: Windows 10, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, Active Directory, RedHat Enterprise Linux)

Preferred Qualifications for both Principal and Sr. Principal Levels:

  • Experience making recommendations for solutions to technical problems (e.g. product selection recommendations)

  • Experience writing standard operating procedure documentation and developing system cold-start documentation

  • Previous experience in administration of secure configuration managed systems

  • Experience maintaining and operating virtual environments for servers and workstations

  • Experience configuring system infrastructure software products

  • Experience supporting engineering end-user desktop environment

  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal direct supervision

  • Experience performing updates and patching of computer systems

  • Experience configuring, administering, and maintaining patch deployment and management systems and providing patch management status reporting to management

  • Experience configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and administering computer backup and recovery solutions and providing recovery status reporting to management

  • Experience writing scripts (e.g. Batch, Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate routine tasks

  • Vulnerability assessment experience

  • Previous experience utilizing Secure Configuration Guidance such as DISA STIG's

  • Previous experience with patch management solutions (e.g. MS Windows Server Update Services, MS System Center Configuration Manager, RedHat Satellite)

  • Recent military experience or familiarity with DOD

You will be working with our experienced engineering team developing industry leading virtual environments to support Department of Defense Cyber efforts. These environments are detailed engineering representations of current and future cyber systems. We're looking for a highly motivated individual with an impeccable work ethic and a strong ability to work in a collaborative fast-moving dynamic team environment. The primary team will be located in Tampa, Florida with distributed team members embedded directly with the customer. Our ability to communicate / coordinate highly technical requirements with team members is a priority due to competing priorities and demanding deadlines. You must be able to work within a vigorous change management environment with the ability to document and test all changes prior to implementation. You will perform technical, operational, and security risk analysis for new changes and technologies and articulate risks in a succinct manner. Individual must be able to provide some mentorship and team / project organization skills. You must be able to quickly adapt new technologies to avoid limitations & obsolescence of both hardware and software. We support government cyber test and evaluation environments through the development of virtual environment designs using products such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, RedHat, and other enterprise solution products. You will need to have a willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly, and get things done. Job Responsibilities: Cyber systems engineering and scientific personnel who possess in-depth knowledge of principles, concepts and techniques for cyber systems. We are looking for hands-on systems engineers that can serve as Subject Matter Experts (SME) in two or more of the below subjects: * Design & Engineering: Experience in multiple disciplines listed below with the ability to look at problems and requests holistically and factor them against requirements. The positions will create integrated solutions that meet and exceed desired results. Ability to identify opportunities for innovation, then ability to solve identified problems. Experience working in SCRUM and AGILE environments highly desired. * Change Management: Facilitate large and cross-functional team meetings across the organization. Excellent coordination and organization skills. Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users. Ability to understand how existing and new systems can be integrated to improve business unit performance. * Test & Evaluation: Demonstrate experience with Developmental Testing (DT) Integrated Testing (IT), and Operational Testing (OT). Demonstrate experience relevant to support test and evaluation of assigned projects. Demonstrate experience in developing test criteria and Test and Evaluation Master Plans.
