The Position

Principal Scientist OPS

The Opportunity

• Perform testing for raw materials, intermediates and finished kits as required to meet Operations goals and objectives independently and leads through the performance of these activities. Able to identify improvements and implement with collaboration from supervisor. Approval of data for release, stability, validation and investigational purposes, as applicable. Responsible for complete, accurate and right first time testing/data packages.

• You design experiments to test hypothesis related to project outcomes, and analyzes and interprets data/results. Recommends new or creative approaches, and/or expansion or curtailment of investigations based on experimental data or new scientific information arising from area of responsibility.

• Participate and lead project planning, production scheduling, process updates, and experimental design. Assumes responsibility for timely completion of projects or assigned work, ensuring activities are consistent with project critical path and responding appropriately to changing priorities.

• Accurately and consistently records experimental methods, materials and results in production records, hard copy notebooks and/or electronic laboratory notebooks. Analyzes data, evaluates results, forms conclusions, and determines future experiments. Works on diverse problems requiring significant analysis and evaluation of intangible variables; may refer to established precedents and policies.

• Serves as an expert resource to other departments (e.g., Manufacturing/Operations, Development, Quality, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Studies, and International Technical Services), provides timely response and follow-ups.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry or related field with equivalent experience.

• +6 years relevant industry experience, including working with auditing and environmental monitoring.

• Experience in assay optimization, experimental design, versatile laboratory practice, data analysis, and data and concept presentation.

• Experienced in Microsoft applications, Smartsheet's, LIMS and or other lab and data management systems.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of New Jersey is 84 100,00 - 156 100,00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
