Provides pre-sales and/or post-sale direct technical support of company products/systems for the Africa region as required. The position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Achieving and exceeding annual revenue targets
Maintaining existing customer relationships
Developing new opportunities and customers within the territory
Providing, presenting and interpreting design, application and service information to sales staff and customers.
Assessing application of company products to meet customer needs.
Preparing detailed product specifications to sales staff.
Maintaining and managing international representative performance
Develop and maintain key relationships with: Program Management, Line Managers, Sales Support, Middle East, Africa and Central Asia Sales Team, Product Service, Field Engineering, Manufacturing
Providing information and documentation to other departments to ensure that all orders in the assigned region are booked and tracked correctly.
50% international travel required
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Minimum of 8 years working in international sales.
Graduate Degree preferred
Military Communications and/or Government / Public Services Communications background
Capability to capture orders, conduct staff coordination, channel management, business development, briefings, write white papers, interface with customers and work with a cross-functional team.
Experience with North African and Francophone African customers.
Good French language skills, both conversational and writing.
Proven expertise in selling defense communications products internationally
Proven sales professional who have successfully sold other technical products to the international defense community
Record of achieving complex sales into intelligent / informed customer environment
Superior writing and presentation skills.
