Requirements / Qualifications

All minimum requirements must be met on or before the filing deadline and must be in a public school setting. • At least eight years of successful full-time public school certificated service, including:

• Minimum of three years of experience as a teacher in a K-12 public school program

• Minimum of two years of experience at an elementary school

• Two years of service in an administrative or supervisory position utilizing an administrative credential, such as an assistant principal or equivalent position

• A valid California Administrative Services Credential

• A valid California teaching credential requiring a Bachelor's degree and a program of professional preparation, including student teaching

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university

• Multicultural coursework (candidates have one year to complete after hire) - District Master Plan requirements (candidates have one year to complete after hire)

Home of the Bears, Ritter Elementary School is located in Watts. The school's goal is to create a college bound culture. Ritter's vision is to develop 21st Century learners, who can collaborate, communicate and think critically to ultimately achieve all future goals. The school has an energetic and enthusiastic staff who focus on collaboration to improve student achievement.
