If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Principal Riser and Tendon Engineer, reporting directly to the Delivery Manager, to join our Consulting team based in Houston, Texas.

About the Job

The Principal Riser and Tendon Engineer will:

  • Develop tendon model and Perform tendon strength, fatigue, VIV and pre-service analysis

  • Develop riser model and perform riser strength, fatigue, and pre-service analysis

  • Perform tendon and riser concept configuration and sizing design studies.

  • Prepare load cases and perform tendon and riser assessments of floating offshore structures using appropriate software according to regulatory design codes.

  • Design and analysis of TLP tendon systems including equipment sizing and specification.

  • Design and analysis of platform riser systems including equipment sizing and specification.

  • Write technical reports summarizing the analysis results and conclusions in accordance with company work instructions and procedures

  • Support and engage in the design and analysis of tendon and riser systems.

About You

We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

  • Master of Science in Engineering Mechanics / Ocean Engineering / Naval Architecture / civil engineer or higher with 10 years of Industry Experience in riser and tendon analysis.

  • Expertise and project experience in the areas of riser systems of offshore floating structures.

  • Expertise and project experiences in the areas of tendon systems of TLP platform.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

  • Candidate should have strong problem-solving abilities to come up with creative solutions.

  • Good understanding of tendon and riser system for offshore floating production units

  • Experience in Offshore projects, including new builds/life extensions / other brownfield projects such as relocations/decommissioning projects.

  • Expertise in industry software tools e.g., Orcaflex, Flexcom, etc.
