The Liability Management, Decommissioning & Restoration (LMD&R) service line is seeking a Principal Remediation Specialist to join the North America team.

This position will be based in southern California and lead the continued growth of our Service Line by further expanding the size and capabilities of our California-based team.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with global business leaders, managing consultants, other parts of the business, and a wide range of contractors & subject matter experts (SMEs) to connect LMD&R capabilities inside and outside the business.

  • Build key client relationships in Ontario that support the overall Worley Consulting strategy.

  • Focus on managing project execution and supporting technical excellence.

  • Provide team and safety leadership to deliver the vision of zero harm and ensure compliance with corporate management systems.

  • Maintain accountability for the profitable and successful delivery of projects within the practice.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Science, Engineering, Business or Industry-related degree or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum of 15 years' experience including management, leadership and planning related to remediation projects at large industrial facilities, including field experience and contractor management.

  • Experience presenting group capabilities to internal and external clients.

  • Ability to foster collaboration across the practice as well as other parts of Worley.

  • Expertise leading and contributing to project proposals.

  • Ability to travel regionally and across North America (as needed) to represent Worley Consulting and/or the broader Worley organization in sales pursuits and to support teams/projects.

  • Communication skills to liaise effectively with client teams, environmental technical experts and project staff to ensure project solutions are appropriately tailored to the client's objectives.

  • Technical skills to review reports and design drawings.

  • Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for staff.

  • Ability to solve difficult technical and regulatory challenges and present solutions to clients/regulators.

  • Experience in setting and meeting agreed upon budget targets and other key metrics.

Additional Information:

  • This position is in California.

  • Salary Range $165,625 to $243,566 USD

  • Benefits: eligible for PTO, 401k, medical, vision, dental, etc.
