RESPONSIBILITIES

Use knowledge of, and experience with, automotive technical information systems; automotive diagnostic/repair procedures; quality control processes and techniques; accounting standards; statistical analysis; precision measurement; process capability, vendor management; and budget management to analyze parts from the field and lead task forces to solve quality problems and determine countermeasure with suppliers and internal departments (ex. Research & Development, Quality, After Sales and Production Plants). Identify weaknesses of existing quality assurance processes and optimize them for more efficiency.

Negotiate warranty cost chargebacks with localized suppliers in USA and Mexico based upon defined acceptance rates from the field quality analysis process. Identify new quality issues or unjustified warranty claims for defective transmissions, steering gears, axle shafts, prop shafts, shock absorber and transfer cases. Analyze warranty return parts and determine the root cause of the failure.

Document analysis results in the respective IT systems. Monitor Field Warranty Data and adjust Parts Routing accordingly. Perform supplier visits/audits to ensure Warranty Analysis Processes are according to VDA standard. Assign tasks to technician and ensure correct parts handling and timely system processing.

Qualifikationen

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of experience evidencing demonstrable ability to perform the stated job duties. New hires subject to drug test and background check. 10% domestic and international travel may be required.
