Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Principal Project Manager - Information Services to our location in Irvine, CA.

We are seeking a Principal Project Manager to be accountable for one or more large, diverse and complex projects in the areas of information technology, clinical informatics, physician practice implementations, quality improvement, strategic objectives and goals. Manages all aspects of projects with direct accountability to the ministry / hospital / clinic staff / project leadership and / or Executive Sponsor. The Principal Project Manager will support IS intake and governance teams as well as IS groups required to deploy IS services as defined.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develops projects within a program in alignment with the organization's strategic plans and objectives.

  • Builds support to influence decisions in order to ensure work toward common objectives.

  • Manage client expectations from initial problem identification and through the project lifecycle.

  • Develop and gain sponsor approval and signoff of the project charter / scope and / or work breakdown schedule.

  • Manage projects and programs with increased complexity, strategic priority and/or visibility, system and/or regional priority.

  • Engage and organize the assignment of activities of multi-functional teams, as well as the project estimates, task dependencies and schedule.

  • Develops root cause analyses and process improvement plans.

  • Identifies, delivers and documents organizational, application and human workflows that contribute to policy and procedure updates throughout each project.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, project management, healthcare admin or clinical field or equivalent educ/experience
  • 7 years Project management experience in healthcare, information services, or other relevant industry or operations leading large, diverse and complex projects.
  • 7 years of expertise/application of Project Management methodology based on project management principles.
  • 7 years of experience incorporating process improvement methodologies into large scale projects.
  • 7 years of experience facilitating complex decision making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree Information Technology, project management, healthcare admin or clinical field

In this role, you will manage and perform due diligence transaction projects for multi-national clients, while working across ERM's Contaminated Site Management and Performance & Assurance technical teams on related follow-on project tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage and perform complex due diligence projects involving multi-site portfolios and multi-person project teams locally, nationally, and globally. * Manage due diligence assessments consistent with ASTM Phase I standards and other global protocols, and including broad-based compliance. * Provide consulting advice to legal, corporate, and venture capital clients. * Prepare concise reports that assess potential environmental liability risks, and compliance and operational status at manufacturing facilities. * Implement Phase II site assessments, including field work and sampling activities. * Perform environmental compliance assessments at industrial and commercial facilities, and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. * Manage regional and global projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables. * Capitalize on existing client relationships to expand ERM's profile and market share in the regional Transaction Services market (through a combination of excellence in technical delivery and business development support). * Work with ERM Partners-in-Charge and other Project Managers to effectively manage projects. * Communicate with clients, ERM employees, and vendors. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelors degree in engineering, environmental science, business administration, or related discipline. * 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, working on environmental due diligence projects. * Experience with ASTM Phase I standards, an understanding of core business and legal concepts of business transactions, and continued interest in working on transactions. DESIRED REQUIREMENTS: * Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports. * Ability to develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, and mentor junior staff a plus. * Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision. * Local candidates preferred.
