You will report to the Director of Project Governance or Project Controls Manager supporting on one or more of our technical cutting-edge projects within the Americas
Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
You will report to the Director of Project Governance or Project Controls Manager supporting on one or more of our technical cutting-edge projects within the Americas. General Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
Opportunity to work along the industries top Project Managers in their Different Sectors which include Mining, Oil and Gas, Marine Projects, Environmental.
Provide your insight, consistence and effective support to projects and ensure successful project planning and delivery, continuing improvement in capability and development for project managements; such as:
Oversight, hands-on experience, and thorough knowledge of Cost and/or Schedule Management. Includes budgeting, change management, forecasting, and reporting for Cost Management. Includes plan development, workaround planning, planning studies, maintaining plans, and reporting for Schedule Management.
For Scheduling, oversight and hands-on experience for Progress Measurement and reporting.
For Cost Management, an understanding of basic Project Accounting Principles and processes is required. Previous oversight experience highly desirable.
Support risk management for projects and have a basic understanding of financial risks to projects.
Contract administration, capital project estimating, and procurement activities on Infrastructure and Environmental projects.
Oversight and hands on experience for Project Reporting to External Customers. For Cost, experience with Internal Project Reporting of Profit & Loss highly desirable.
Understanding and oversight ability for implementing Project Risk Analysis related to Cost and/or Schedule.
Provide project management and services support that are fit for purpose, timely and cost effective. Work effectively and efficiently in a teaming environment bringing passion to work with others to overcoming challenges through collaboration and a win-win paradigm.
Has a client-focused approach, dedicated to providing exceptional client experiences.
Working on Front End projects in working on projects within the Oil and Gas, Power and industrial sectors.
Provide local support for WorleyParsons' project management tools to ensure projects are set up and executed in full compliant with all WorleyParsons' management systems.
Work with project managers to ensure regular, accurate and standardized progress reporting for projects, which includes but not limited to: assisting with schedules, project controls and cost estimates.
Local support for the WorleyParsons Project Management Process (WPMP) and Enterprise Management System (EMS). This may include bridging the link between WPMP and divisional requirements.
Effective presentation and communication skills using English with the minimum:
Capable of developing and delivering a professional presentation in slide show, report and verbal format for an audience of 5 persons.
Ability to be recognized as a functional expert and thought leader within the department and broader organization. Professional appearance and behavior, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly are a must.
Ability to anticipate complex internal and external business issues with impact on the organization and can recommend innovative program and/or program solutions.
Ability to contribute to strategic program development.
Typically, will regularly interface with departmental staff and upper management, and frequently with outside customers.
Commitment to customer service and ability to guide department personnel in partnership with and during manager's absence is essential.
Ability to manage other Project Controllers.
Demonstrates awareness of health, safety & environment issues; takes action to ensure zero harm to all employees, customers, contractors and the environment.
Induction to your role responsibilities will happen along with necessary in-house WorleyParsons training on software systems and processes.
Experience and Qualifications:
BA/BS in related field or applicable discipline preferred, or equivalent 5 additional years' experience if not degreed.
Generally, 10 years of relevant experience.
Accustomed with and fully capable of application of skills and methods in cost engineering, estimating and planning engineering as contained in AACE and PMI (PMBok) standard practices. Basic knowledge of scheduling and/or cost tools, procedures, and processes.
Ability to understand/interpret prime and second tier contract requirements a plus.
Ability interpret technical documents for estimating, change management, and/or planning highly desirable.
Sound understanding of project delivery phases, activities performed in each phase, and deliverables at the end of each phase.
Ability to develop and maintain control budget (TIC & Services) and forecast scopes of work.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills including forecasting.
Experience working multiple projects of various size and complexity with proven results.
Experience on Engineering Projects. Procurement and Construction experience desirable.
Oversight and hands on experience for Project Reporting to External Customers.
For Cost, experience with Internal Project Reporting of Profit & Loss highly desirable.
Accuracy and attention to detail critical. Must be able to demonstrate reliable, consistent, and quality results.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is critical.
Ability to maintain confidential information is critical.
Work independently with minimal supervision and able to make judgments and decisions.
Supervisory experience highly desirable.
Willing to travel on an as needed basis.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Must have strong people skills and demonstrated ability to work with customers.
Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.). Access experience a plus.
Knowledge of SharePoint
Knowledge and experience with EcoSys
Aconex experience preferably in the area of document control and records management
Primavera P6 for scheduling
