Principal Program Manager- Cloud Migration

Hybrid Role in Middleton, WI

The Principal Program Manager is a crucial team member, who will lead the conversion of our flagship Windows-based application to a cloud-based solution. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies, software development, and project management. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills to drive the project from planning to successful execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.

What you'll get to do in this role:

• Project Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end program lifecycle from initial planning and requirements gathering to deployment and launch.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.

• Team Coordination: Lead a cross-functional team of developers, QA engineers, research scientists, and external development partners to ensure project milestones are met.

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure the application meets quality standards through rigorous testing and validation.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management and software development.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products meet regulatory standards, including 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and EU MDR. Facilitate the adoption of updated QMS practices and maintain DHF documentation.

What we are looking for:- Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years managing cloud migration or software transformation projects.

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Proficiency in software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of Windows-based application architecture and cloud-native architectures.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Expertise in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.

• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.

Travel Required: 25%

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
