VIEW JOBS 10/2/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-31T00:00 About the team To quote our CEO, Zillow Group (ZG) is "on our own moon mission" to fundamentally change the way our consumers buy and sell homes in the US. Whereas the real estate transaction process today is fraught with friction and frustration, we've set our sights on creating a truly seamless, fast, and stress free transaction experience via what we call real estate 2.0. We are absolutely confident that we'll be successful in that mission, just as we have in missions past, by leveraging technology and efficiencies at scale and putting that in the hands of our massive consumer audience on Zillow, Trulia, StreetEasy, HotPads, and other brands. ZG has committed to leveraging Salesforce (SFDC) to facilitate many of the transaction workflows that will make our proverbial moon landing successful, and this team is responsible for that SFDC execution. More specifically, this team is responsible for building out the many processes that we'll use to inspect, purchase, and renovate the homes we buy via our Zillow Offers (ZO) product as well as the loan officer workflows we're building out for our Zillow Home Loans (ZHL) product. We see ultimately this team as utterly indispensable to ZG's creation of real estate 2.0. About the role We're looking for a leader for this newly-formed team! We need a highly-qualified principal who can coach our growing team of product managers, QAs, and SFDC administrators and developers to a level of execution that is consistent with our incredibly ambitious mission. Some of the responsibilities of this role are as follows: * Ensure via proper planning and implementation that our consumers have an excellent ZO and ZHL experience even as their data moves between various non-SFDC systems and multiple SFDC instances. * Work with internal business partners and technical stakeholders to ensure their goals are being met in the products we build, as opposed to taking orders for what specifically to build. * Mentor a SFDC-specific team of product managers, QAs, a senior engineering manager, and an architect by asking the right questions, demonstrating ideal behaviors, holding a high bar for success, and then getting out of their way so they can execute. * Hire a great team as the products this team creates are used by many thousands of transaction-facilitating professionals as ZG grows. * Exert an influence on our other SFDC orgs as they continue to deliver the rocket fuel needed to make real estate 2.0 a success. Who you are To be successful in this role, you'll have a deep depth and wide breadth of sales and marketing experience against SFDC. We don't expect that you'll have super recent experience in implementing SFDC products in a production capacity, or even know what all their products are, but we do expect that you'll have a long history of demonstrating leadership experience in this area. You'll be expected to get into the weeds with your team as you see opportunities to improve, and step out as things change and new opportunities arise. We expect that every member of your team will look to you as someone who will challenge them and who they can learn from as they themselves seek to improve. * You'll have many of the following attributes if you're to be successful in this role: * 7-10 years experience in SFDC development/administration or product ownership. * 7-10 years management experience in building, mentoring, and motivating high-performing teams. * Ability to prioritize the many asks against your org by others inside our company. * Detailed analytic ability that'll allow you to make otherwise unprompted ROI-justified purchase and headcount growth requests as you see the opportunity. * Outstanding communication abilities as you work to receive and share ideas both inside and outside your org. * Passion for building exceptionally innovative and efficient experiences in SFDC for the users you serve. * Willingness to challenge conventional wisdom and coax ideas from everyone so that we can take advantage of the diversity of ideas within our organization. * Amicable personality that can sway others both inside and outside your org to see your viewpoints.
