Job Description

The Workday Product and Competitive Marketing team is seeking a Principal Product Marketing Manager to launch and bring to market an exciting new area, Workday Credentials for enterprises and an associated app for individuals. In this strategic product marketing position, you will have the opportunity to bring to market a pivotal new offering for Workday and grow a new sub-brand for the company as well as our customer use of Workday Credentials. With Workday Credentials, we're building the world's most advanced network for verified and trusted credentials, powered by blockchain technology. Organizations will be able to automatically issue and verify credentials for employees, applicants, students, and more. Once these credentials are issued, individuals will be able to use a mobile app to securely store, manage, and share their information..

Our Product Marketing Managers understand our market, the technology trends, our key buyer personas, and their primary buying criteria, and deliver differentiated messaging in the form of a wide array of content. They launch our products and technologies in the market, grow awareness and preference for Workday and adjust as we see changes in buyer patterns and preferences. They collaborate with products and engineering on packaging, pricing and go-to-market strategy and how it helps define the total augmented product experience. In addition, they enable our channel through live training and sales tools, and work with our corporate and field marketing teams to drive awareness and demand through programs targeted at our buying audiences. This role is a unique combination of having a passion and experience with B2C and B2B marketing, combined with an aptitude for launching new brands and products, creating compelling content narratives, understanding different audience perspectives, presenting and delivering best-in-class content in all forms, and working in a highly agile environment with a high-performing team who enjoys innovating and having fun.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the unique value of Workday Credentials and the associated app for individuals, creating compelling content to drive awareness and preference with Workday customers and individual workers.

  • Research and create a consumer-facing go to market plan for a new sub-brand to market the credentialing App for individuals,

  • Build content to support our Campaigns and work with our Global Marketing teams to deliver content for digital, social, live and event-based programs.

  • Work closely with products, competitive intelligence and field enablement to build content and tools to enable our sales and other field teams. Deliver content regularly through live and web-based training.

  • Work with our development and product management leaders to create and manage content for our marquee event keynotes including Workday Rising and other high-profile venues.

  • Drive content and messages to support a broader launch of Workday Credentials, and subsequent releases, editorial calendar opportunities and Industry Analyst requests, leading to broad awareness of the offering.

  • Continuously explore and recommend new ways to deliver our message around the value of Workday.

  • Credentials and the associated App for individuals , whether digital, written, demonstrative, or at live events

  • Regularly partner with our corporate marketing and field enablement teams to assess the data behind the content and programs and strive for continuous improvement and effectiveness.

  • Become the face of Workday Credentials and the associated app for individuals and deliver our messages at a wide variety of events and through social media.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' product marketing experience at a software company with both B2B enterprise and B2C consumer marketing experience

  • Excellent communication, writing and story-telling skills

  • Ability to build and deliver content in the form of enablement and presentations to a wide array of audiences from sales to customers and analysts

  • Analytical ability to assess data and identify opportunities to adjust buyers' journey and content delivery approaches

  • Ability to influence internal teams working on product and technology direction from external market and customer data

  • Understanding of SaaS and cloud pricing and packaging strategy

  • Excels in a fast- pace, ever-changing environment with positive and collaborative style

  • Undergraduate degree with a focus on Business or Computer Science

  • MBA a plus

This position will report to the Senior Product Marketing Manager and will be responsible for leading the execution of product marketing activities, ensuring the Visium spatial solutions are positioned, placed, promoted and specified correctly. This role will require interfacing with multiple product managers within the spatial product portfolio and marketing program management, marketing communications, sales and distribution teams. They will be responsible for driving the go-to-market and sustaining marketing efforts by understanding the various market segments and positioning associated amongst the entire spatial portfolio. This role will need to consider numerous factors such as intended market segments and research areas, customer personas, competitive products, and how well the product fits with the company's business model and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities * Drive a high level of interaction and engagement between other departments (e.g., Sales, Technical Support and R&D) to ensure coordination of activities and alignment on common goals. * Responsible for competitive positioning and messaging to achieve market share objectives within relevant profitability bounds for 10x's Spatial Portfolio * Implements and maintains "best practices" in brand marketing and product marketing. * Works in collaboration with Marketing Communications to bring new products to market, being the lead on the global go-to-market strategies. * Ensures market information is acquired, competitive activity is monitored, and customer needs are identified. * Leads market development activities within specific research areas and customer segments to drive revenue and sales opportunities * Partners closely with spatial product management teams to gain an understanding of product features and relevance to market segments * Interfaces with marketing communications to ensure that each research area is addressed by spatial portfolio's yearly roadmap * Creates sales enablement tools, webinars, support content and other relevant content in close collaboration with product management * Partners with Marketing Communications to develop key marketing campaign collateral and awareness vehicles to drive demand for their portfolio. Required Skills And Background * BA/BS or MS or equivalent degree in Life Sciences.
