The Challenge

In the SDC (Search, Discovery, and Content AI) Organization at Adobe, our goal is to empower our customers' digital journeys with semantic search, visual search, browse, recommendations and providing conversational search and applying Generative AI to the Creativity Domain across Adobe products, with a special focus on Adobe Express, Adobe Stock, Document Cloud, Lightroom, and Photoshop. We use machine learning and AI in information retrieval, encompassing query and content understanding, as well as ranking and scoring of creative assets.

This includes personal content such as photos and videos, team and enterprise assets, and marketplace assets. Our expansion into Neural Agents combines the power of diffusion models, large language models, and Adobe's domain expertise to bolster our AI ecosystem.

How can you participate? We're looking for Principal Product Manager to help define and build our next-generation Search & Generation technologies and experiences across Creative Cloud and Document Cloud.

As Product Manager, you will own platform requirements that requires applying AI/ML technologies across various areas, including deep neural search, conversational search, creative design variations, generative search, Retrieval Augment Generation, and Neural Agents. You will work closely with the search engineering and partner teams to bring the vision to life. It requires deep understanding of the technologies, machine learning methods, and user experience affordances that create great customer experiences.

The focus is to help customers find, browse and discover the content and assets that enable them to achieve their creative and document goals. This is an opportunity to make a huge impact in a fast-paced environment across a wide range of products and customers in a great company.

What you'll do

The Principal Product Manager for Adobe's Search & Discovery vision is responsible for the planning and execution throughout the lifecycle of product and features development, including:

  • Drive the Product vision for next-generation capabilities that brings search, recommendation and generation experiences together and map out the path to integrating those across Adobe web, mobile and desktop products.

  • You will work with global product, Design and engineering teams to establish requirements, plan and prioritize work.

  • Drive alignment and communication with stakeholders with increasing and conflicting demands.

  • Develop and drive the strategy for defining success criteria, including critical metrics that measure customer success and business impact.

  • You will ensure that technology and experiences we enable, adhere to all applicable compliance, privacy, legal, AI Ethics and security requirements. You will work with partners as necessary to communicate these requirements.

What you need to succeed

  • Proven technical product management leadership experience of 3+ years, including working with highly diverse and global teams.

  • Track record of delivering cloud-scale, AI/ML powered, data-driven products and services that are widely adopted with large customer bases

  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills as you'll be interacting across product and engineering leaders at various levels

  • Ability to lead in an environment of ambiguity with diverse partners and independently drive initiatives end-to-end

  • Articulate and persuasive while able to listen and incorporate the perspectives of others

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to be able to coordinate complicated projects

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or background in a strong scientific subject area

  • 5+ years of experience with search engine technologies, Information retrieval, search relevancy, recommendations and/or conversational search experience;

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $146,800 -- $262,100 annually.

Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
