Chargify is seeking a highly driven and energetic Principal Product Manager to expand the features available to our customers for accepting, processing, and managing payments for their subscription services. Our Payments Product Line is a critical component of the services we provide to our customers and a key element of our product development strategy to continuously innovate. The Payments Product Manager leads the companys efforts to expand Chargifys addressable market and revenues with full ownership of product line strategy and execution.

About the Position

The Payments Principal Product Manager is responsible for the growth and development of our Payments product line. In this role, you will evolve and drive execution of the companys payments market strategy, work with a dedicated engineering team to build new payment processing and collections features, and partner with other SaaS companies in the payments ecosystem to create new industry solutions. This position will work closely with company senior management and work cross-departmentally with our Sales, Marketing, and Support teams for planning, go-to-market, and launch activities. The ideal candidate for this position has experience in the Payments industry, is a strong strategic thinker, communicates well, and has the drive and teamwork skills to execute on priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption of the suite of services offered across Chargifys Payments product line and continuously evolve it to meet market needs
  • Identify new product opportunities, features, and enhancements based on data, customer feedback, research, and your insights
  • Continuously evolve our Payments product strategy to continue to differentiate Chargify and meet market demand
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, business impact, resource requirements, and operational costs
  • Develop detailed product specifications in the form of epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and user flows
  • Work closely with engineering to manage product development work streams with focus, drive and transparency in decision-making
  • Manage product releases working with marketing, sales, and support resulting in excellent customer experiences
  • Continuously obtain customer feedback and track adoption metrics for the products and features in your area of responsibility
  • Evangelize our product vision internally, with our customers, with prospective customers, and with others with whom we partner
  • Inspire all levels of the organization with your product vision

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a SaaS Product Management role
  • Deep knowledge of the Payment industry, processes, economics and key constituents
  • Understanding of agile product development methods and artifacts including creation of epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, user flows, story maps, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.
  • Analytical skills to effectively understand and describe our competitors and how we develop differentiated products
  • A history of outstanding performance reviews with long-term ambitions to run a product-oriented business
