CORONARY AND STRUCTURAL HEART provides interventional devices to treat coronary arteries that are blocked by atherosclerotic plaque and devices and therapies to treat structural defects of the heart.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensures that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services.

  • Qualifies suppliers according to company standards and may administer a Certified Supplier Program in receiving inspection to ensure cost effectiveness.

  • Monitors parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolves supplier-related problems as they occur.

  • Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure good manufacturing practices (GMP) and quality standards are met.

  • Evaluates suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback in assessment of their operation.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or science

REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
7+ years of quality or engineering experience

Nice to Have

Previous medical device and supplier quality experience

Responsibilities: * The Staff Quality Engineer will lead Quality responsibilities to fulfill customer quality expectations and requirements. * Coordinate root cause analysis of field issues, generate 8D reports, and drive issue resolution. * Lead continuous improvement through good communication with all departments involved. * Conduct risk assessment and reviews of customer contract obligations towards warranties and quality requirements. * Provide customer with closure of corrective actions. * Generate Oracle (Fusion/Keyed In) reports and provide metrics. * Conduct statistical analysis using SPC software (MiniTab). * Create and document processes and procedures. * Conduct reliability testing and analysis. * Coordinate quality activities for new project introductions. Requirements: * BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. * 5+ years in a Quality Assurance job. * Experience with, customer quality, process, and/or quality engineering. * Experience with high volume electronics manufacturing, molding, microcontrollers, SMT, and lean manufacturing is beneficial. * Demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking to problem solving. * Proven ability to effectively prioritize, escalate, and drive solutions to customer issues. * Proven ability to lead difficult problem solving meetings with all functions, levels, and customer representatives, clearly articulating information. * Knowledge and ability to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and environmental requirements such as RoHS, REACH, Sony Green, CMRT, etc.… * Willing to travel domestically and internationally. * Must be self-motivated and driven. * Excellent English communication skills. Speaking, reading and writing Mandarin is beneficial.
