PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal PCB Design Engineer to join our team in Livermore, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) for a variety of applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design and development of complex PCBs from concept to production

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure PCB designs meet all requirements

• Develop and maintain design guidelines and best practices for PCB design

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

• Ensure all PCB designs meet industry standards and regulations

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in PCB design

• Expertise in Altium Designer or other PCB design software

• Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and materials

• Experience with high-speed digital and analog circuit design

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The pay range for this role in Livermore, CA is between $110,700 and $145,320. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
