Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is actively seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Cyber Operations Planner to support Headquarters United States Air Force at the Pentagon. The Planner provides full spectrum Cyber Operations support to the customer by providing planning support to integrate and synchronize cyber operations and exercises.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review and implement strategies, plans and priorities for cyber systems.

  • Support review of military operational plans and development of innovative solutions to complex problems.

  • Assist strategic partners in the integration of cyber capabilities into operational mission support

  • Support the review of security classification guides, fact sheets and other documents in support of the special program community.

  • Assist government customer with indoctrinating personnel to programs

  • Support Special Access Program organizations with distribution and integration of cyber capabilities.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal or Senior Principal level.

  • Basic Qualifications for a Principal Cyber Operations Planner are a Bachelor's Degree and five years of professional experience. Four years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Cyber Operations Planner are a Bachelor's degree and nine years of professional experience. Four years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience supporting Special Access Programs or Special Technical Operations (STO)

  • Knowledge of AF cyber systems and AF cyber organizational construct

  • Experience with DoD Cyber and operational planning

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Pentagon Staff Experience working Cyber Operations

  • Familiarity with DoD and Service Cyber Operations policy and processes and the Joint Operations Planning Process

  • Working knowledge of other service, department, and agency cyber capabilities

  • Understanding of USAF Acquisition organizations and processes

Responsibilities * Demonstrating superior professionalism, initiative, problem solving abilities, and communication skills * Reviewing reports or associated correspondence packages for adequacy to include completeness, structure, content, and format to ensure package meets all task requirements * Providing recommendations to action officers to improve/finalize inadequate packages prior to senior leader review * Analyzing information from a variety of acquisition and program sources * Authoring, reviewing, and editing documents and preparing reports * Participating in program performance assessments of Major Defense Acquisitions Programs.
