Inphi is seeking candidates to fill a principal optical platform engineering position. The position offers the opportunity to work on the forefront of coherent optical transmission technology.

The successful candidate will lead the effort to build DCO eval platforms for current coherent optical ASIC product. The candidate will also engage in the specification of forward-looking platforms for next generation of coherent DSP ASICs.

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:
1.Hands on experience designing and validating optical pluggable modules with form factors such as CFP2, CFP, and QSFP-DD, preferably for coherent optical transceivers.
2.Extensive experience in component selection and and integration with available optical subassembly such as ITTRA and IC-TROSA to build compact, low power, small-form factor optical modules
3.Solid knowledge in layout requirements, PCB manufacturing tolerance, power supply design, and signal integrity for small-form factor optical modules.
4.Experience working with In-P and/or SiPho based MZM and ICR for module integration.

It will also be good for the prospective candidate to also be able to meet the following optional requirements:
1.Experience with system and device validation of optical pluggable modules.
2.Familiarity with coherent optical communication.

Work experience 10+ years in the coherent optical transmission.

Education MSEE or higher preferred.

Required Skills Design experience with optical pluggable module products,

Job Description The architectural DV group is looking for engineers to develop software models, write test plans, architectural tests and infrastructure to verify functionality and performance of a CPU. This is an opportunity to write the Golden C Model which will provide the platform for performance modeling, developing tests, and the verification of the RTL. You'll also be involved with writing, configuring, and developing random test generators.
