Portland, OR. Principal Operations Analyst

Work with a team of analysts who gather requirements and understand work processes in order to build performance metrics that support operational excellence for CST&D, including project metrics that support process improvement. The position works on setting direction for the metrics team, including timing and processes for integration with PACE and leading Tableau efforts.

Create Tableau data model for T&D, provide backend support, lead Tableau rollout to T&D business. Create metrics to support business needs. Provide day to day direction for team and set priorities. Define roadmap for reaching a performance driven culture and a process and timeline for integration with PACE.

Experience and Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of IT experience in the application, design, development and implementation of various BI tools such as Tableau, OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) and Informatica. Or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field (or foreign equivalent) and 3 years of IT experience as listed above. All experience can be gained concurrently.

Grid Operations Systems Analyst R18-821 POSITION PURPOSE Provide support for the Balancing Authority, Transmission and Distribution operations at PGE's System Control Center. Ensure critical operational technology systems are configured and maintained properly for high availability and 24/7 real-time operations KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information systems or relevant field of study or equivalent experience. * Typically five or more years of experience supporting a Control Center in daily operations of transmission generation and distribution systems or equivalent combination of utility operations and IT experience. * Professional Engineering (PE) designation a plus; IT certification a plus. * Experience with Open Systems International Monarch EMS Platform or similar application suite is required. * Experience with OSI Soft PI Data Historian is preferred. * Experience with Distribution Outage Management / Distribution Management System is preferred. * Experience in computer programming, scripting and application development is preferred. * Experience in information systems security standards, practices and tools are preferred. * Through knowledge and experience in SCADA/EMS systems and EMS advanced applications * Through understanding of the utility electrical system and substations and generation plants (Design and Operations) * Through knowledge and experience in System Administration, Backup Storage, Database Administration, Application Development, Operating Systems, Cyber Security and Networking (eg. ESX, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7, Cisco networking equipment, SQL Server). * Knowledge and experience in using SCADA protocols (ICCP, DNP 3.0, L&G8979). * Knowledge and understanding of telecommunication and computer networks used for SCADA and control system networks.
