Title: Principal National Account Executive, National Supply & Care Delivery Team - McKesson Account Team

Location: U.S. Field Based

Note: Candidates can live anywhere in the U.S. Field, there are no relocation benefits available for this role.

The Principal National Account Executive is accountable for developing and delivering on commercial account strategies for key national Distributors, GPOs,Societies and other customers within the National Supply & Care Delivery Team. This individual is responsible for leading key account engagement with the goal of helping to ensure product access across the portfolio, advance GNE business objectives and build/advance relationships at all levels of aligned customers.

The Opportunity:

As a Principal National Account Executive, you will collaborate with the Core Teams and aligned Medical Affairs Executive Director to understand customer capabilities, product dynamics, Squad priorities, and the healthcare environment. You will build and leverage networks with internal stakeholders to exchange insights and inform Genentech strategies. Additionally, you will negotiate agreements with Distribution and GPO customers to support Genentech's product portfolio. The primary accounts for this role are shared with two other Principal Account Executives, with a focus on McKesson. You will lead at least one Community GPO segment account and manage assigned accounts in Specialty Pharmacy and Infusion Management.

  • Deeply understands the unique needs and capabilities of NS&CD customers and segments, contributing to strategies for improved patient outcomes, lower costs, and improved quality of care.

  • Defines the Commercial strategic vision for assigned accounts, aligning with Genentech and Squad Therapeutic Area strategies and identifying partnership opportunities.

  • Thinks creatively about cross-portfolio opportunities, prioritizes them, develops strategies and tactics, and drives execution with partners.

  • Negotiates favorable agreements to support distribution, purchasing, services, data, and other programs for Genentech products, impacting results beyond assigned accounts.

  • Serves as the expert on assigned national accounts, providing advice and counsel across the Customer Engagement team, and representing account segments in business planning processes and forums.

Who you are:

Requirements:

  • You have 15+ years with a Bachelor's degree, 13+ years with a Master's degree, or 10+ years with a PhD/JD.

  • You have In-depth knowledge of managed care strategy development, including contracting with strong relationships with regional or national accounts.

  • You have demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy across complex healthcare environments inclusive of an ability to influence without authority and mobilize colleagues to action around shared goals

  • You have cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You have previous experience with channel accounts (Distributors, GPOs, Pharmacies).

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location in California is 191,500 - 340,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.

Benefits

This is a field-based position and overnight travel may be required. This position requires significant driving of either a company provided or personal vehicle as well as prolonged periods of sitting, both of which are part of the essential duties and responsibilities of the role. As a result, Genentech, Inc. (Company) from time to time will check your motor vehicle record for purposes of determining your eligibility for driving a Company vehicle or driving any vehicle on Company business.
