The Team

Fidelity Brokerage has an exciting Principal DevOps opportunity on Android Mobile Platform- squad responsible for building and supporting scalable and highly reliable Android Platform for native mobile applications.

As a principal DevOps engineer you will be supporting not only the Platform squad, but the entire Development community, by ensuring that there is a robust CI process continually available. You will also be supporting your team in adopting test automation and best practices to ensure we are building the right product and we are building it right.

The Expertise You Have

• 6 to 9 years of experience with building, debugging and supporting Mobile applications

• Hands on experience with Android platform (Kotlin and Java) and SCM (GitHub)

• Experience with Cloud technology and CI/CD pipelines is a must (AWS, Docker, Jenkins and Artifactory)

• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, using bash, groovy and python

• Experience in designing and developing automation for tests, for example Espresso and Appium

• Accessibility testing knowledge is a plus.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field

• Actively participate as a technology lead in the development process, assisting as necessary with CI process changes to accommodate technology changes.

• Mentor junior engineers.

• Capacity to collaborate with team members to improve test coverage, release velocity, and production health.

• Collaborate with other DevOps engineers, to unify the CI/CD strategy across products and platforms

• Ability to recognize reusable patterns in order to create standards around creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, and test methodologies.
