OVERVIEW
Mobility Core and Network Services (MCANS) team is part of the Network CTO organization that oversees the global mobile and fixed network technology direction for AT&T, which includes the design of the company's 5G infrastructure. This team is responsible for the architecture, design, certification and delivery of advanced Mobility Core network functions and Network Services applications, including for IP multimedia systems and packet data, which are the future of Mobility services and experiences. The team contributes to the growth and development of end-to-end wireless network services across Consumer, Enterprise, Internet of Things (IOT), FirstNet and public sector products.
This position is part of a team that collaborates with client project teams in the development of Mobility Cloud platform delivery, CI/CD workflow automation, Big Data and Azure DevOps (ADO).
RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW
This principal role is for the technical design, development, and deployment of the User Data Repository (UDR) for 5G Standalone Architecture (SA) on the Azure Operator Nexus (AON) cloud platform. This 5G SA UDR on our wireless next generation core is the central core subscriber data management (SDM) function that provides, modifies, and maintains subscriber specific data to other core Network Functions.
Drive UDR target architecture realization and the development plan of record. Transform lab build and requirements to the production build architecture.
Develop the lab testing requirements and manage test execution of the 5G SA UDR in the lab and pre-production environments before production deployment and traffic processing.
Develop, test, and document the introduction of the 5G SA UDR on AON into the existing next generation core ecosystem. Develop, document, and execute plan for 5G UDR subscriber data migration and data partitioning implementation.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
Cloud Computing
Understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure
Awareness of virtualization, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts
Familiarity with networking concepts
Software Development & Delivery
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
Familiarity with Azure and ADO concepts
Basic experience with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes
Exposure to Unix shell, Ansible, and Python scripting
Understanding of YAML and JSON file types and their usage
Data Analytics
Some experience with programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases. Knowledge and skills with subscriber data repository technology, session based architecture, RESTful APIs, etc.
Basic understanding of data visualization and statistics
Telecom Industry
Basic understanding of telecommunications, network architecture, and 3GPP wireless communication protocols
Exposure to network analysis and telecom-specific message flows and data sources
Familiarity with geospatial analysis, IoT, edge computing, and security and privacy concepts in the telecom industry
Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (not mandatory but a plus):
Awareness of machine learning frameworks and concepts
Basic understanding of mathematics relevant to AI/ML
Familiarity with data preprocessing and model evaluation techniques
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Our Principal Member of Technical Staff earn between$160,900.00 - $270,400.00USD, annually. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
