The Principal Material Program Manager (MPM) must possess leadership qualities and demonstrated project management skills. You must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management. You will serve as the liaison between the Program Managers, IPT's and the Supply Chain organization, and will be responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives.

This position requires an individual who will be able to exert influence and have an effect on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team. You are the individual responsible for all supply chain issues and their impact on programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and executing Supply Chain strategies and plans for capture/proposal efforts and program execution

  • Acting as the leader for all program's supply chain activities, and will advise the Sr. Manager as well as the program management office leadership team on material strategies and plans

  • Leading front end of the business SCM activities including early supply chain management involvement and early supplier involvement

  • Develop and lead supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that match the PTW strategies

  • Developing and execute material program plans (MPP), and subcontract management plans (together with the Subcontract Administrator)

  • Presenting at Program Performance Reviews, Gate Reviews, and other Management reviews to all levels of audience

  • Executing make/buy/where process

  • Developing and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives

  • Balancing strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs

  • Working closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

  • Collaborating with supply chain functions for support as needed

  • Monitoring performance metrics and proactively acts to address program and functional issues

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years related experience in Supply Chain, Subcontracts, Finance, Engineering, or Operations

  • Experience in project management

  • Experience in an Integrated Product Team (IPT)/Cross functional team

  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Experience with Material EAC's and Material Forecasting

  • Experience collaborating with the Subcontract Administrator in the development of statements of work (SOW)

  • This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate Government Agency for non-U.S. persons

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to analyze data and make data driven decisions

  • Prior work experience supporting supply chain management responsibilities

  • Strong Financial management skills

  • Working knowledge of US Government Acquisition Laws and Regulations, i.e., FAR/DFARS, ITAR

  • Raytheon Material Program Management Certification or equivalent experience

  • Microsoft Project

  • Experience working with MRP systems

  • Experience with SAP/PRISM and the Supply Chain Suite of Tools

  • Experience supporting/leading proposal efforts
