Job Summary

Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to ensure timely, high quality production at the lowest cost consistent with the quality requirements. Implements production plans and provides feedback around product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply constraints, schedules and staffing requirements to meet given product objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Holds accountability for meeting given production goals in a timely and accurate manner for a set of product lines.

  • Implements production plans and provides feedback to Director around product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply constraints, schedules and staffing requirements to meet given operational objectives and business unit goals.

  • Directs the implementation of activities in production areas to ensure timely, high quality production at the lowest cost consistent with the quality requirements.

  • Provides focus to the production team to execute to quality, schedule and cost expectations for the product lines or family of products.

  • Implements annual operating plan, operating budget and capital budgets. Defines priorities within the framework given to implement the most efficient and effective operating plan for the site. Plans staffing and expenditures around priorities.

  • Serves as a champion for quality improvement, Lean and Six Sigma programs at the site. Accountable for reduction of cost and waste within product lines. Improves productivity by implementing best practices.

  • Responsible for schedules and expenditures for direct and indirect labor. Accomplishes results through subordinate managers and employees by establishing operational objectives, work plans and delegating assignments.

  • Responsible for managing the department and all projects and product lines assigned to the department. Communicates goals and strategies to a large workforce, which may include represented and unrepresented components. Directs management team for a set of product lines or family of products. Identifies and develops leadership within the team. Selects, develops and manages the performance of the management team members.

  • Hosts and interacts with internal customers during site visits and product line meetings.

  • Oversees deployment of environmental, health and safety policies and procedures for the product line. Ensures workplace training and safety plans are fully implemented. Ensures the area complies with OSHA, EPA and other safety and health requirements.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience

US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required. Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience as well as experience in Aerospace

Candidate Responsibilities: * Product ownership cradle to grave. * Responsible for working with Lead Test Engineer and Design Team to coordinate, manage and prioritize all activities needed to qualify a new product and release it to production. * Owns product characterization efforts and all data analysis including determining limits on Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) prior to releasing products into manufacturing. * Participate in the Testability Review and follow up to ensure production test coverage is consistent with the documented Test Plan. Ensure correlation between the ATE test results and the Design Bench Verification results. * Provide engineering disposition based on bin limits, fab parametric PCM correlation and other relevant data to ensure the highest quality at the lowest cost. * Coordinate Zero Defect Quality initiatives related to Test Program and Maverick Lot handling activities. * Provide product cost breakdown and Engineering inputs to Marketing upon request and support business case development. * Provide Weekly Maverick Lot and Bin Yield reports for all key customer products. * Review and disposition fab engineering concession lot requests. * Drive and manage qualification & Volume Ramp Up (VRU) aspects of New Product Introductions (NPI). * Drive and manage customer product complaints and resolution from an engineering standpoint for all products. * Help to drive and manage product related issues with subcontractors for all products. * Working with External Manufacturing (eFM) and Internal Manufacturing to develop and implement cost reduction activities ranging from process/product transfers, test time reductions/test elimination, DPPM reduction activities, material set change qualifications and yield improvements across BL products across foundries and back end suppliers. * Support product and process transfers to support NXP industrial roadmap implementation and ensure industrial capability. Candidate Profile: * Bachelor's degree or higher and 6+ years of experience. * Experience with ATE, fab, and design required * Self-Driven individual with excellent communication skills. * Experience with data analysis software in support of Characterization Reports and Yield Reporting with tools such as Extensio, DataPower, JMP and Optimal+ or equivalent required. * Experienced with different methods of statistical analysis. * Experience with HTOL, LTOL, BHAST boards is desirable. * Experience with common Standard Logic CMOS Process Technologies and correlation to product performance, quality, and yield.
