TMC has created a single Technology risk management framework to promote consistent and sustainable risk practices across all technology domains to implement the framework and manage associated risks. The Principal IT Risk Analyst will report into TMC, and will work with various stakeholders across BNY Mellon to assist in the execution of the Technology Senior Information Risk Officer (SIRO) Program. Specific job duties include: 1. Assist the Technology Corporate Senior Information Risk Officer (CSIRO) in organizing and executing the program. 2. Drive Implementation of strategic Risk Management Programs across BNYM Technology by collaborating with Technology teams on the identification, prioritization and mitigation of technology related risks. 3. Coordinate work efforts with the Senior Information Risk Officer (SIRO) community, Service Leads, and Application Managers. 4. Provide the SIRO community with the tools, processes, training, and dashboards to provide transparency and drive improvements. Principal IT Risk Analyst

  • Identifies, analyzes, monitors and minimizes the most complex areas of risk that pertain to information technology. Leads coordination with disaster recovery and data security teams.

  • Provides high value input into risk reports on highly complex issues.

  • Presents reports to the business areas and Technology management.

  • Leads high-impact and complex projects that involve working with the businesses to improve controls that would mitigate any deficiencies.

  • Ensures controls meet regulatory and organization standards.

  • Develops and improves risk systems, methodologies and limits.

  • Uses expertise of Technology and market trends to determine potential risks to the organization.

  • Recommends and leads any resulting change needed to mitigate risk.

  • Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.

  • 10-12 years of related experience required.

  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

  • ISACA certifications preferred.

  • Strong experience with operating systems, databases, cloud services, connectivity, and security.

  • Deep knowledge of networking, firewalls, routing and switching.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Citrix and Microsoft.

  • Must understand how infrastructure, platform, networking, and System Administration/DBA teams work.

The Risk division in the US supports all the activities in the Americas Region (US, Canada and Latin America), which is almost exclusively capital markets oriented. MMG - OVERVIEW Within the RISQ division, MMG's major missions are to meet the regulatory challenges of tomorrow, to support the development of the business lines and to enable the Group to meet its ambitions in terms of client satisfaction and efficiency. Mission Day-to-Day Responsibilities: The risk professional sought for this position will work actively on key market risk and counterparty credit risk initiatives within the region. The Counterparty and Market Analysis Team works in coordination with other risk departments (asset class specialists, counterparty risk teams, enterprise risk teams) to ensure the risk management program is of the right standards and evolves in accordance with best practices. The candidate should have a strong understanding of market risk methodologies and framework, assist the team in organizing and coordinating inputs from various subject matter experts and contribute to enhance risk oversight. The role will require strong analytical skills, trouble-shooting and knowledge of market risk controls and processes. The candidate should develop a strong and hands-on knowledge of key risk metrics and reporting, and communicate key findings within the team as well as outside the risk division.
