Job Description:

Seeking Principal IT Architect to provide services in support of PATRIOT Missile Support Contract (PMSC) Program related activities. The work location shall be in Burlington, MA at the Raytheon IIS facility. Duties require maintaining / improving existing applications within the PATRIOT Information Management Systems (PIMS) portfolio. The candidate must have demonstrated an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness and capable of applying highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to mentor less experienced engineers.

Successful candidate's expertise and services are, but not limited to the following:

  • Provides business or enterprise level architecture, vision, strategy, problem anticipation and problem solving for the T&LS Growth and Innovation organization to meet existing and future business goals.

  • Develops objectives, establishes organization policy and sets technological standards.

  • Anticipates IT industry future directions and relates to future architecture needs and projects.

  • Remains aware of business, technical, applications, information management and access, and infrastructure issues and acts as a consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions.

  • Support end-users of the systems on a day-to-day basis and provide web application support for sustainment and reliability analysis solutions supporting the PMSC Program.

Required Skills:

  • Experience developing creative solutions to complex business problems utilizing technical solutions.

  • Leads the technical strategic vision, execution, maintenance, and quality assurance for all applications within portfolio.

  • Guides and implements continuous improvement efforts including development/maintenance of application portfolio technology roadmaps

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Manage staffing and budget of application portfolio

  • Partner with suppliers to execute and optimize portfolio

  • Technologies employed require expertise in Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL language, and its implementation as basis for XML processing.

  • Knowledge of DFARS NIST cybersecurity framework as it pertains to internal and fielded solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required Education (including Major):

  • BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8 years of prior relevant experience.

Performs relevant actions to prepare the data for input to lesson plans, and writes the lesson plans for later instruction. During the development phase, the writer works with Raytheon engineers and customer representatives to apply appropriate instructional design principles. As an instructor, the individual is responsible for the conduct of the course, including examinations. The successful candidate will be effective at face-to-face interaction with customers and other contractors to respond to requests for information, support to technical meetings, technical interchanges and enterprise working groups. The ADOC Instructor/Writer will provide SME support when writing lesson plans and student guides, and will work with all aspects of the Air Defense Operations Center for Qatar IAMD on a variety of SW and HW configurations. During course development, he/she will interface with engineers and other technical personnel to perform critical training task analysis, and validation of documentation. This position is located in Burlington, Massachusetts. Required Skills: * 4 years of operational System Administration experience on Military Systems/Operations Centers * 2 years operational experience in an Air Defense Operations Center (ADOC), Air Operations Center (AOC), or Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC). * Experienced in network management, LAN/WAN concepts and technologies, system security, MCSE, encryption, UNIX, LINUX, Windows, JAVA, and C++ The individual must have knowledge in Communication operations, organizational maintenance, and planning * Must have experience using Windows Computer operating systems as well as the Microsoft Office suite of computer applications. * Must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written, as candidate will be remote from the team. * Experience writing and developing training lesson plans. * Must currently have and maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance.
