At a Glance:
Helmerich & Payne is looking for a self-starter and proven technical leader as Principal Infrastructure Cloud Engineer. This role is focused on enabling the rapid execution of cloud solutions in alignment with best practices. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in infrastructure engineering, IT service management, Infrastructure as Code (IaaC), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and specific technologies such as Azure, Nutanix, and F5. A strong emphasis is placed on designing systems for resilience and high availability.

What you will do:
Cloud Solutions Leadership: Provide thought leadership and project management for the development and implementation of cloud solutions.
Rapid Execution of Cloud Projects: Enable quick and efficient execution of cloud projects, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational objectives.
Infrastructure Engineering: Leverage extensive experience in infrastructure engineering to design and manage robust cloud-based systems. I
TSM Best Practices: Implement IT service management best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
Expertise in Cloud Technologies: Utilize deep knowledge of Azure, Nutanix, F5, and other relevant cloud technologies to architect and deploy effective solutions.
IaaC and IaaS Implementation: Employ IaaC and IaaS methodologies to automate and optimize cloud infrastructure deployment and management.
Resilience and Availability: Design systems focusing on resilience and high availability to ensure uninterrupted services.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with different teams to understand requirements and provide tailored cloud solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends, continually improving processes and systems.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document cloud architectures, processes, and best practices, and share knowledge with team members.
What you need:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum 10+ years of experience in system administration, preferably with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or KVM.
Minimum of 5+ year of experience in HCI platform, like Nutanix, Dell VxRail, HPE Simplivity, or Cisco HyperFlex
Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104 or equivalent certification
Proven experience with Azure
Expertise in IT service management, IaaC, and IaaS.
Strong project management and leadership skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Not a must, but a plus
In-depth knowledge of Nutanix AHV and Prism Central, including installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Nutanix AOS features like Acropolis, Flow, Leap, and Calm.
Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) - Enterprise Administrator or equivalent certification.
Nutanix AHV in a large production environment
Proven experience with Nutanix, F5, and other cloud-related technologies.
Knowledge of the energy sector, particularly drilling operations, is a plus.
