The role of Principal Incubation Software Developer is to be a key member of a small and versatile team, where you design, develop, test, demo software solutions for Incubation POC Projects. Working under minimal direction and exercising considerable latitude, provides technical expertise in prototyping of business solutions. The role requires workings with peers within Dell and partners. These projects will be focused initially in the Cloud Native technologies and AI/ML direction, but they will be about how these technology domains can be utilized or supported by the Dell EMC portfolio.
This position has a requirement to have experience with AI, ML and DL technologies.
Role and responsibilities:
Member of an agile development team through prototyping of the technology or solution utilizing current and next generation software technologies
Work within the development process using an Agile or Lean Agile methodology with 4 week to 6 month cycles based on weekly sprints driving to a continuous fast fail approach
Collaborate and partner well with peers within Dell and partners
Stay up to speed on all current and next generation
This position requires an accomplished Software Developer, who truly understands multiple development ecosystems and platforms, enjoys working with other engineers, and thrives in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment
BS in Computer Science with 8+ year's industry experience or equivalent experience
This position requires a working knowledge of AI, ML and DL technologies and frameworks
Technical experience (including emerging technologies) such as Cloud Native Software Methodologies, Automation and Lifecycle Mgmt, Public/Hybrid Cloud Architectures and Technologies, and more
Experience with Tensorflow, CNTK, MxNet, Domino, and other AI, ML and DL technologies
Highly collaborative and open; enabling cross-company efforts.
Proven record with technology (Software and Solutions) development life cycle
Development methodologies: Agile and/or Lean Agile Development
Pipeline and Development Tool Experience: Jira, Tracker, Concourse, Jenkins, Docker and others
Development Languages Proficiency with a minimum 2 of the following:
Go / Python / Java / C++ / Ruby
Soft skills: Self-motivated, passionate, strong problem solver, team player, and effective communicator
Nice to have skills
Experience working across cross-functional teams
Familiarity with Data center technologies such as Storage, Networking, Data Protection and more
Familiar with Hyperscaler technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google and more
