The Operations team at Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems (NGIS) is looking for you to join our team as an IE Lean Leader based out of Iuka, MS.

What You'll get to Do:

As a Northrop Grumman composite IE / Lean Leader you will support plant wide manufacturing execution planning, measurement, and improvement.

IE/Lean accountability will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Manufacturing capacity analysis

  • Positional tooling and machine requirements

  • Work measurement / time standards development

  • Production performance metrics and analysis

  • Special studies and projects

  • Staffing models

  • Production planning, readiness assessments, and recovery planning

  • Factory Layouts, Facilities and workplace design, Flow simulations

  • Drive lean principles and continuous improvement in production and business processes, including hands-on applications, facilitation, and training

  • Develop presentations and present to Sr. Leadership of all levels.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Qualifications for a Principal IE Lean Leader

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience or an MS degree and 2 years' experience.

  • In depth understanding and significant application of Industrial Engineering technical expertise along with a detailed knowledge of other related disciplines

  • Experience and application of, continuous improvement tools in Kaizen, Toyota Production lean principals

  • Ability to provide and implement technical solutions to advanced problems which require ingenuity and innovation

Qualifications for a Sr Principal IE Lean Leader

  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years' experience or an MS degree and 7 years' experience.

  • In depth understanding and significant application of Industrial Engineering technical expertise along with a detailed knowledge of other related disciplines

  • Experience and application of, continuous improvement tools in Kaizen, Toyota Production lean principals

  • Ability to provide and implement technical solutions to advanced problems which require ingenuity and innovation

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experienced in planning and managing new program ramp-ups

  • Effectively trained all levels and all functions of a manufacturing organization in continuous improvement/lean tools.

  • High level user of Microsoft Project, Autocad, and advanced factory simulation tools

  • Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review

  • Occasionally acts as a leader and understands that erroneous decisions on their part will result in probable delay and failure of organizational objectives

  • Represents the organization as a technical contact, interacts with senior personnel on important technical matters, and helps with coordination between organizations

  • High energy, results oriented, self-motivated / self-reliant, team player

What You'll get to Do: * Adhering to policies, practices, and procedures of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and implementing the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) the company policies, practices, and procedures * Familiar with the NISPOM and the DoD Manuals 5205.07, Volumes 1-4 * Familiar with Special Access programs * Have a working knowledge of access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems * Excellent computer skills with extensive Microsoft Office knowledge. The ability to produce presentations, briefings and reports. * Familiar with physical security/risk management concepts * Under moderate supervision, administers routine aspects of the DOD or other industrial security program to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures * Shall conduct security briefings and support security education programs. Investigates security incidents and violations and may recommend corrective action * Requires the ability to make sound decisions, manage time, take independent action, and provide focused solutions * Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences at all levels of the organization both verbally and through written communications * Must be well organized, willing to work in a team environment, be able to prioritize tasking, and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment * Must be dependable, responsive, customer focused and possess the qualities of diplomacy, tact, excellent judgment, discretion and initiative * Monitors security procedures; ensures compliance with all aspects of the program including physical and administrative security procedures * Administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
