We are looking for a Principal Program Manager to join our Sensors team to lead and manage development of components for our next generation devices. The candidate must be highly motivated and a self-starter who will thrive in this fast-paced technical environment. We will continue to turn our ground-breaking AR hardware and software ideas into reality through shipping additional first-to-market products.


  • BS/MS in EE/ME or related field, or equivalent mix of work expeirence.

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience

  • Demonstrated ability to manage large development and cross-functional teams across multiple geographical locations. Managing global teams of program managers working on simultaneous projects is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify problem areas, drive issues to closure and ensure solid root cause understanding through product life cycle meeting program targets and goals

  • Must be able to communicate complex issues and tradeoffs to development partners and management regularly

  • Strong ability to write, speak and present information effectively and persuasively across communication settings

  • Experience planning, creating, and managing schedules and budgets for product design, including component fabrication and tooling

  • Experience managing end-to-end supplier engagement, and relationship for high volume consumer products

  • Solid understanding of the challenges of cameras and sensors design and integration into consumer Electronics systems including but not limited to mechanical design, optical design, modelling and simulation is preferred

  • Must be willing and able to travel (domestic and international) to support design and manufacturing activities as needed

You will be responsible for all facets of program management throughout the product development cycle. This includes creating business opportunity proposals, RFPs, SOWs, development partner selection, contracts, and management of development from specification through volume production ramp. Throughout the program you will manage schedule, budget, resource planning, and provide an environment enabling efficient execution and collaboration across Microsoft and partner development teams. You will be responsible for scoping development and incubation programs, driving decisions for feature sets and capabilities as well as providing status and recommendations to immediate and executive level management.
