About the role:

The Principal, Global Compliance Investigations (based in Marlboro, MA or Maple Grove, MN) provides direction, monitors progress and conducts confidential investigations of diverse scope into allegations of violation of law, Code of Conduct, or company policy. Ideal candidates will have compliance, legal or forensic accounting experience, strong analytical and quantitative skills and have experience investigating matters related to regulations applicable to the medical device industry (e.g. the anti-kickback statute, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, etc.).

Your responsibilities include:

  • Define project goals, meet schedules, resolve issues, develop performance goals, act as a technical advisor and execute US and International investigations.

  • Develop strategy and work plans to investigate alleged violations of law, Code of Conduct, or company policy.

  • Conduct investigations of varied complexity and scope, including data gathering, analyses, interviews, report writing and development of corrective action recommendations.

  • Establish operating policies and procedures that may have a company-wide effect on investigation processes and protocols.

  • Work with the Investigations Manager and Chief Compliance Officer to interpret and recommend modifications to organizational policies and/or training as a result of investigation findings as well as benchmarking of other companies in the industry.

  • Document investigations, including maintaining and archiving work papers.

  • Assist in creation of tools and templates for investigations as well as improvements to tools used for reporting.

  • Analyze investigations trends and metrics, creating reports for use by Senior Management.

  • Maintain a high degree of interest in professional development. Attend relevant compliance and investigations training sessions and conferences and maintain ongoing professional credentials (e.g. CPA, J.D., etc.).

What we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • 7 - 11+ years of experience in compliance, legal and/or forensic accounting/auditing field.

  • Strong educational credentials with an advanced degree such as JD, MS, Accounting degree, CPA and/or CFE preferred.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and excel skills as well as demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work with large amounts of data to analyze information while still seeing the "big picture."

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, influencing, negotiation and mediation skills.

  • Confidence to handle difficult conversations, pressures and deadlines.

  • Ability to travel ranging between 0% - 10% of the job.

  • Fully engaged and self-starting. Possess a high energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment that strives to exceed expectations. Demonstrated ability/experience in an environment of change and continuous improvement.

Senior Manager, Global Quality Regulatory Compliance Preferred locations: Maple Grove, MN, Arden Hills, MN or Marlborugh, MA. Remote candidates will also be considered. About the role: Develops, establishes and maintains quality assurance programs, policies, processes, procedures and controls ensuring that performance and quality of products conform to establish standards and agency guidelines to ensure lasting customer satisfaction. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process and product function systems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to determine responsibilities and solutions. May serve as liaison between the company and the various governmental agencies. Works directly with operating entities to ensure that inspections, statistical process control analyses and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet specifications. Establishes and ensures compliance with good housekeeping practices, employee hygiene and equipment sanitation; analyzes plant error, salvage, spoilage reports and process statistics for significant findings and conclusions; works with Research and Development during new product start-ups, and establishes key checkpoints for new products and processes. Key responsibilities include: * Champion for the internal audit community across Boston Scientific. Acts as Internal Audit Process Steward. Develops and mentors direct staff, as well as others within the internal audit community. * Responsible for scheduling, planning, conducting, and reporting audits of entities engaged in quality systems and clinical trials activities to assure compliance with applicable global regulatory requirements, and corporate policies and procedures. * Identifies, accesses and analyzes all the internal and external data streams that have impact on the company's compliance to overall quality systems. Integrates such data and distills it into a clear, current and accurate state of compliance. Strategically leverages such information to proactively design a robust internal audit program. Is able to make recommendations based on areas of highest compliance risk. * Connects well globally to understand changes in regulatory environment worldwide, as it relates to the quality and clinical systems, and adjust audit plans and approach accordingly.
