Ref #16471671OUR CLIENTOur client is offering an opportunity to join them in their growth as a Principal Engineer. Our client works with Developers (Condominium and Residential) on complex and challenging site assessments and remediation projects throughout the GTA.This role will provide an opportunity for some team management and coordination, project oversight, decision-making, and leadership. This is a growth-oriented and versatile working environment focused on projects and client management.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Bachelor’s and Master's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science or geoscience from an accredited institution.
• Registered Professional (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo .) or eligibility, with 10-15 + years of experience in an environmental consulting environment.
• Propensity for client management and business development, capability to network with prospective clients and to bring projects to the firm.
• A demonstrated ability to lead and direct junior and intermediate staff in a professional manner.
• Work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to present technical information, both written and verbally, in a concise and professional manner.
• Some construction and project management oversight, experience working closely with clients throughout the remediation process.

WHAT'S REQUIRED

• Support multidisciplinary site assessment/remediation/development projects through application of project management, problem solving skills and knowledge of Ontario Regulations ( O.Reg 153/04, O.Reg 406/19, etc.).
• Lead and contribute to proposals and manage Phase One and Phase Two Environmental Site Assessments, including preparation of Records of Site Condition.
• Lead and participate in the preparation of excess soil management plans.
• Oversee and support field investigations pertaining to brownfield redevelopments, including development and implementation of sampling and analysis plans.
• Management and guidance of team's day-to-day activities, assignment of projects to junior/intermediate staff.
